Ingoldsby is a rural locality in the Lockyer Valley Region, Queensland, Australia. [2] In the 2021 census, Ingoldsby had a population of 64 people. [1]
Hessenburg Provisional School opened on 11 June 1894. On 1 January 1909, it became Hessenburg State School. Due to anti-German sentiment during World War I, the district was renamed Ingoldsby [3] [4] and in 1916 the school was renamed Ingoldsby State School. It closed on 9 August 1974. [5] It was at 1128-1130 Ingoldsby Road ( 27°43′20″S152°15′42″E / 27.7222°S 152.2616°E ). [6] [7] [8]
