Mosaic: World News from The Middle East was a daily news program offered by the free American satellite channel, LinkTV. "Mosaic" featured selections from television news programs produced by broadcast outlets throughout the Middle East. The news reports were presented unedited, translated into English when necessary. The "Mosaic" series was created by Stephen Olsson and Kim Spencer. Its founding producer was Jamal Dajani, a Palestinian American and it was co-produced by David Michaelis, an Israeli Jew. From late 2010 until 2013, the daily "Mosaic" program was co-produced by Lara Bitar and Abdullah Edwan.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting formerly called National Iranian Radio and Television until the Iranian revolution of 1979, is an Iranian state-controlled media corporation that holds a monopoly of domestic radio and television services in Iran. It is also among the largest media organizations in Asia and the Pacific region and a regular member of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. Its head is appointed directly by the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The mass media in Iran is both privately and publicly owned but all channels are subject to censorship. In 2016, Iran had 178 newspapers, 83 magazines, 15,000 information sites and 2 million blogs. A special court has authority to monitor the print media and may suspend publication, or revoke the licenses, of papers or journals that a jury finds guilty of publishing anti-religious or slanderous material or information detrimental to the national interest. The Iranian media is prohibited from criticizing Islamic doctrine.

iFilm, also known as iFilm TV, is an Iranian entertainment network which consists of three channels in English, Arabic and Persian. The network was launched on September 9, 2010. The original purpose of the channel is to present Iranian films and series to the global audience. The network was managed by Mohammad-Reza Khatami from its inauguration until he was replaced by Mehdi Mojtahed, son of Ayatollah Mojtahed Shabestari in June 2016.

Manoto was an international free-to-air Persian language general entertainment channel launched in October 2010, owned by Marjan Television Network. It was based in London and its programs included documentaries, films, series, news and reports. The channel ceased satellite broadcasting on 31 January 2024, but continues to operate via social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube.

Public diplomacy in the Islamic Republic of Iran refers to the public relations efforts to disseminate information about the Islamic Republic of Iran. Such efforts seek to communicate with foreign publics in order to establish a dialogue designed to inform and influence. Instruments of public diplomacy in the Islamic Republic of Iran include cultural exchanges, film and print media, and sports diplomacy.

Television was first introduced to Iran in 1958, as a privately-owned and commercially-operated enterprise, before being nationalised, remaining a state-controlled monopoly, first of National Iranian Radio and Television, and following the Iranian Revolution in 1979, of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.

Omid-e-Iran OITN is an American television network, inaugurated in 1995. The original mission was to broadcast television content and news to the Iranian American community of Southern California, however the scope broadened to the international Iranian community. The network was founded by Nader Rafiee, who started their journalist career on IRTV. Omid-e-Iran has programming in English and Persian languages.

IRIB Tamasha has been a national TV channel in Iran. It was launched on 13 February 2013 and re-aired various TV series previously aired on IRIB, until 17 December 2014 that the channel was closed and merged into Namayesh. But later, after IRIB TV5 became provincial again on 10 August 2016, Tamasha was reformed, replacing the earlier-launched Tehran TV.

Saeed Karimian was an Iranian television executive, the founder, chairman, and owner of Dubai-based GEM TV, which runs 17 Persian-language TV channels, plus one each in Kurdish, Azeri, and Arabic. Karimian, who was British national, had been tried in absentia by a court in Tehran, and sentenced to a prison term of six years for spreading propaganda against Iran.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Iran International</span> US-based Persian-language TV station

Iran International is a Persian-language news television channel headquartered in London aimed at Iranian viewers, and broadcasting free-to-air by satellite. Iran International was established in May 2017 and has broadcast its programmes from both London and Washington, D.C. In February 2023, Iran International moved its headquarters temporarily to Washington, D.C. due to increased threats from the Iranian government against Iran International's UK-based journalists, but back to London in September 2023. It is available online, via radio and via satellite broadcasting worldwide including Iran. Iran International is owned by Volant Media UK Ltd. and has been charged of being an arm of Saudi Arabia.

"Salam Farmandeh", also known as 'Salam Ya Mahdi', is a Persian song produced by Iranian artist Abuzar Rouhi, about General Soleimani, and Imam Mahdi and is mainly performed in large groups by youngsters around the world.
