This list of railway stations in North Rhine-Westphalia includes the most important passenger stations operated by the Deutsche Bahn in North Rhine-Westphalia, based on the DB's railway station categories.

The Wupper-Express is a Regional-Express service in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) running from Aachen via Mönchengladbach, Düsseldorf, Wuppertal, Hagen to Dortmund. The service is operated every hour by DB Regio NRW. It is the third most widely used Regional-Express line in the area administered by the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr with approximately 24,000 passengers a day. The line is part of the Rhine-Ruhr Express (RRX) network an is operated by National Express.

The line through the site of Solingen Mitte station was opened on 2 December 1890 as part of the Solingen–Wuppertal-Vohwinkel line, known as the Korkenzieherbahn, to Vohwinkel. The station was opened on 10 December 2006. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.
The Brilon Wald station is a station on the Upper Ruhr Valley Railway in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It was opened 5.5 km south of Brilon in the forest (Wald) with the construction of the line on 10 February 1873, as it was impractical to build the railway through Brilon. The station was called Brilon-Corbach until 1880, when the current name was adopted. The Bergisch-Märkische Railway Company created the small town of Brilon Wald at the same time. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.
