P'isaqa (Aymara and Quechua for Nothoprocta , a bird, [1] [2] also spelled Phisaca) is a mountain east of the Apolobamba mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia, about 4,640 metres (15,223 ft) high. It is located in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality. P'isaqa lies north of the little town of Pelechuco, southeast of Rit'i Apachita and east of Puka Puka. [3] [4]

Aymara language native language in South America

Aymara is an Aymaran language spoken by the Aymara people of the Andes. It is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. Aymara, along with Spanish, is one of the official languages of Bolivia and parts of Peru. It is also spoken, to a much lesser extent, by some communities in northern Chile, where it is a recognized minority language.

<i>Nothoprocta</i> genus of birds

Nothoprocta is a genus of birds belonging to the tinamou family Tinamidae. They inhabit scrubland, grassland and open woodland in western South America, particularly in the Andes. They are poor fliers and spend most of their time on the ground. Their diet includes seeds and insects. They nest on the ground, laying large glossy eggs. The eggs are covered with feathers when a potential predator is nearby.

Kimsa Chata, also spelled Kimsachata, is a 4,735-metre-high (15,535 ft) mountain in the Andes in Bolivia. It is located in the Chilla-Kimsa Chata mountain range south-east of Wiñaymarka Lake, the southern part of Lake Titicaca. It lies in the La Paz Department, Ingavi Province, Tiwanaku Municipality, about 15 km south of the archaeological site of Tiwanaku and the village of the same name. Kimsa Chata is situated between the mountains Nasa Puqi in the north and Chuqi Ch'iwani in the south.

Riti Apachita

Rit'i Apachita is a 5,029-metre-high (16,499 ft) mountain in the Apolobamba mountain range in Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality, north-west of Pelechuco. Rit'i Apachita lies northeast of the mountain Sural (Soral) and southeast of the mountain Apachita Pura Pura.

Qala Phusa mountain

Qala Phusa or Q'ululu is a 5,465-metre-high (17,930 ft) mountain in the Apolobamba mountain range in Bolivia. It situated in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality. Qala Phusa lies southwest of Waracha and southeast of Jach'a Waracha.

K'ayrani Quta is a lake west of the Apolobamba mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality.

K'iski Quta is a lake in the Apolobamba mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality. K'iski Quta lies northwest of the mountain Jach'a Waracha.

Salluyu mountain in Bolivia

On the Bolivian side it is located in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality, and on the Peruvian side it lies in the Puno Region, Putina Province, Sina District. Yawa Yawa is situated south of the mountain Ch'amakani and northeast of Punta Yawri. Yawa Yawa is also the name of a little lake near the mountain.

On the Bolivian side it is located in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality, and on the Peruvian side it lies in the Puno Region, Putina Province, Sina District. Ch'amakani is situated south of the mountain Yanaqucha, west of Chawpi Wayq'u and north of Yawa Yawa.

Wankuchiri

Wank'uchiri is a 5,382-metre-high (17,657 ft) mountain in the Apolobamba mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia. It is located in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality, near the Peruvian border. Wank'uchiri is situated southwest of the mountain Chuquyu, northwest of K'iski Quta and southeast of Palumani and Such'i Lake. A little lake named Saywa Quta (Saihuacota) lies at its feet, south of it.

Ch'usiqani is a mountain northeast of the Apolobamba mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia, about 4,260 metres (13,976 ft) high. It is located in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, in the north of the Pelechuco Municipality. Ch'usiqani lies near the Peruvian border, west of Yawa Yawa and southeast of Chawpi Wayq'u.

Palomani is a mountain in the Apolobamba mountain range on the border of Bolivia and Peru. It reaches a height of about 5,723 metres (18,776 ft). On the Bolivian side it is located in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality, and on the Peruvian side it lies in the Puno Region, Putina Province, Ananea District. It is situated north of Suches Lake. Palomani is south of Chaupi Orco, Salluyu and Jichu Qullu, near Chocñacota in the west.

Cunuyo is a mountain in the north of the Apolobamba mountain range on the border of Bolivia and Peru. It is about 5,100 metres (16,732 ft) high. On the Bolivian side it is located in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality, and on the Peruvian side it lies in the Puno Region, Putina Province, Sina District. Cunuyo is situated southwest of the mountain Locopauchenta and east of Losojocha.

Sorapata mountain in Peru

Sorapata is a mountain in the north of the Apolobamba mountain range on the border of Bolivia and Peru. It is about 6,000 metres (19,685 ft) high. On the Bolivian side it is located in the La Paz Department, Franz Tamayo Province, Pelechuco Municipality, and on the Peruvian side it lies in the Puno Region, Putina Province, Sina District. Sorapata is situated between Locopauchenta and Cunuyo in the north and Chaupi Orco in the south. The lake Japucocha lies southwest of it.

Qachini mountain in Peru

Qachini or Tara Paka is a mountain in the north of the Apolobamba mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,200 metres (17,060 ft) high. It is located in the Puno Region, Putina Province, Ananea District, northwest of La Rinconada. Qachini lies southwest of the mountain named Wilaquta, northeast of Qala K'umu and southeast of Qurwari.

Pisaqa (Cochabamba) mountain in Bolivia

P'isaqa is a mountain in the Bolivian Andes which reaches a height of approximately 3,200 m (10,500 ft). It is located in the Cochabamba Department, Carrasco Province, Pocona Municipality. It lies at the Wanaku Mayu.
