Sindhi Colony is a major suburb of Secunderabad, India. It was founded to house refugee Sindhis coming from Sindh that became a part of Pakistan after the partition of India in 1947. It is to the north of Hyderabad.
The suburb has many smaller residential colonies. Adjacent communities like Babu Bagh, Krishna, Venakat Rao and Jawahar Lal communities are considered part of Sindhi Colony. This suburb is one of the most affluent sections of Secunderabad, home to traders and educated professionals of the city.
Historically, before Sindhi Colony was built it was the back water areas of the Hussain Sagar lake to hold excess water. The first dam was built in 1946 by Michael Bakes.
There are many shops for all kinds of needs in this suburb. In 2002, a lot of garment factory outlets opened in the suburb. Many branded clothes for all ranges can be found here at discounted prices. Because of this, people from many parts of the city come to shop here.
There is an RTA office which serves entire Secunderabad Region (AP 10). Many banks started operating since 2002, catering to the growing population of this suburb like Andhra Bank (Sindhi Colony), SBI etc. are located here.

Secunderabad, also spelled as Sikandarabad, is a twin city of Hyderabad and one of the six zones of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in the Indian state of Telangana. It is the headquarters of the South Central Railway zone. Named after the Mir Akbar Ali Khan Sikander Jah, Asaf Jah III, Nizam of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, Secunderabad was established in 1806 as a British cantonment. Although both the cities are together referred to as the twin cities, Hyderabad and Secunderabad have different histories and cultures, with Secunderabad having developed directly under British rule until 1948, and Hyderabad as the capital of the Nizams' princely state of Hyderabad. Since 1956, the city has housed the Rashtrapati Nilayam, the winter office of the president of India.
Lajpat Nagar is a residential and commercial neighborhood in the South East Delhi district of Delhi. It was named in honor of Lala Lajpat Rai and is today most known for the Lajpat Nagar Central Market. This area is not to be confused with the Lajpat Nagar in Ghaziabad in the NCR region.
Tirumalagiri, previously spelt Trimulgherry, is a locality and a Mandal in the city of Secunderabad which falls under Secunderabad Revenue Division, and is a major suburb of Secunderabad, India. The name is an anglicization of Tirumalagiri. It is in the north of Hyderabad District. Trimulgherry used to be base for Britishers in colonial era and many britisher lived here even after the independence. Mainly many churches were built around this area for the British. Few notable ones are Holy Family Church, Wesley Garrison Church, All saints Churches. Theses churches are of old era. A milatary Hospital was built for the britishers, it now serves the indian armed forces now. Trimulgherry also has very famous Surya Bhagwan Temple, one of the few dedicated to Sun God where there is a small pond.
Sikh Village earlier known as Sikhul thota is a small suburb in Secunderabad, India. The name is attributed to some of the Nizam's Sikh troops being settled here a century ago. It is 3 km (1.9 mi) from Paradise Circle and 2 km (1.2 mi) from Bowenpally.
Jajmau also known as Jajesmow during British Era, is a suburb of Kanpur, India. It is situated on the banks of the Ganges River. Jajmau is an industrial suburb. It has the population of about 652,831 according to census 2011. It is believed to be the oldest inhabited place in the region. The main industry is the leather industry. It is home to some of the biggest leather tanneries in Northern India. The excavations conducted here by the Archaeological Survey of India suggest that it dates back to c. 1300 – 1200 BCE. Earthen pottery, tools and various historical artifacts discovered by the Archaeological Survey of India are presently kept in the Kanpur Sangrahalaya. The area comes under the jurisdiction of Kanpur metropolitan area.

Hussain Sagar is a heart-shaped lake in Hyderabad, Telangana, built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1563. It is spread across an area of 5.7 square kilometres (2.2 sq mi) and is fed by the River Musi. A large monolithic statue of the Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992, stands on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of the lake. It also separates the city centre of Hyderabad from the neighbourhood of Secunderabad. The maximum depth of the lake is 32 feet (9.8 m).

Sindhis in India refer to a socio-ethnic group of people living in the Republic of India, originating from Sindh. After the 1947 Partition of India into the dominions of new Muslim-majority Pakistan and remaining Hindu-majority India, a million non-Muslim Sindhis migrated to independent India. As per the 2011 census of India, there are 2,772,364 Sindhi speakers in the Indian Republic. However, this number does not include ethnic Sindhis who no longer speak the language.
BHEL Township, Hyderabad is a suburb of Hyderabad, Telangana. This has been developed like other BHEL townships after Indian public sector engineering company BHEL started its operations here. Ramakrishnapuram Lake, originally named as Mukidigan Cheruvu, is a lake located in Ramakrishnapuram Hamlet, Neredmet Village, Hyderabad near Ramakistapuram Gate Railway Station. It is home to many migratory birds. The lake is currently facing many problems, including water pollution. GHMC is trying to stop pollution but the efforts are not effective. Migratory birds and other animals are also affected by the pollution.
