Troy Town is an unincorporated community in Logan County, West Virginia, United States.
Rensselaer County is a county in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2010 census, the population was 159,429. Its county seat is Troy. The county is named in honor of the family of Kiliaen van Rensselaer, the original Dutch owner of the land in the area.
Gilmer County is a county in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 8,693. Its county seat is Glenville. The county was formed in 1845 from parts of Lewis and Kanawha Counties, and named for Thomas Walker Gilmer, Governor of Virginia from 1840 to 1841. Gilmer was later a representative in the United States Congress and Secretary of the Navy in President John Tyler's cabinet.

Mostly a two-lane, winding highway with no shoulders, Route 10 is considered to be one of substandard design when compared to modern standards. The 1891 West Virginia Mountaineers football team represented West Virginia University in the 1891 college football season. Led by Frederick Lincoln Emory in his first and only year as the Mountaineers' head coach, this was the first West Virginia Mountaineers football team. The 2019 Troy Trojans football team represented Troy University in the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Trojans played their home games at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama, and competed in the East Division of the Sun Belt Conference. They were led by first-year head coach Chip Lindsey.
