The Type 920 hospital ship (NATO reporting name: Anwei class, meaning comfort) is a ship class of hospital ships of the People's Liberation Army Navy of the People's Republic of China. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Daishan Dao is the lead ship and was once the only ship of this class from 2008 to 2023, until the second ship of the same class, Silk Road Ark (hull number 867), commissioned and carried out its first medical mission in 2024. [5]

Type 920 hospital ships have a capacity of 300 beds, 20 ICU beds, 8 operating theatres, and can perform 40 major surgeries a day, in addition to X-ray, ultrasound, computerized tomography, hypothermia, hemodialysis, traditional Chinese medicine, and dental facilities. [6] [7] She is also equipped with a remote networking and communications system to allow teleconferencing with doctors and specialists on land. [6]

In accordance with the Geneva Conventions, Daishan Dao and its crew do not carry any offensive weapons, while the ship is painted white with red crosses to mark it as a hospital ship. [6]

Tianzhou 4 was the fourth mission of the Tianzhou-class uncrewed cargo spacecraft, and the third resupply mission to Tiangong Space Station carrying 5 tons of cargos and 1 ton of propellant. It is the largest load capacity cargo spacecraft that is on active duty. It launched on 9 May 2022, docking successfully with the Tiangong space station at the aft port 6 hours after launch. Chinese naval escort in Somalia,Is a military operation launched by the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy in Gulf of Aden Somali pirates frequent waters since the end of 2008. This action was undertaken by the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China in accordance with the United Nationsthe Security Council resolution 1846 and its subsequent resolutions, and in light of the practice of the States concerned, Carried out with the consent of Government of Somalia. The main contents of the operation are: to protect the safety of Chinese ships and personnel sailing in the waters; Protect World Food Programme and other world organization ships carrying humanitarian supplies. The first Chinese naval escort taskforce to Somalia set sail from the Hainan Sanya military port on 26 December 2008, and arrived in the Gulf of Aden, Somalia, on 6 January 2009 to officially begin escort work. By May 2023, 44 escort taskforces had been dispatched, and escort operations are still ongoing.
