The LR7 is a deep-submergence rescue vehicle (DSRV) of the People's Republic of China's People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). It was built by FET (Forum Energy Technologies) formerly Perry Slingsby of Britain. The LR7 entered service in 2009. [2]
In 2000 and 2001, Chinese representatives attended international submarine rescue conferences and exercises. This may have followed the 1995 accident suffered by Chinese submarine 361 while surfaced leading to the deaths of the entire crew. China entered negotiations to purchase DSRVs from Britain or Canada [4] which may have resulted in the order for the LR7 through Rolls-Royce Marine. [3]
The LR7 was tested in Loch Linnhe, Scotland, in September 2008. It was delivered [3] and entered service in 2009. [2]
The Type 926 submarine support ship was developed to deploy the LR7. The first was laid down in 2007 and entered service in 2010. [5]
The LR7 may operate at depths of 500 meters and may dock with submarines with their bows 60 degrees up. [2]

A deep-submergence rescue vehicle (DSRV) is a type of deep-submergence vehicle used for rescue of personnel from disabled submarines and submersibles. While DSRV is the term most often used by the United States Navy, other nations have different designations for their equivalent vehicles.
The Cheng Kung-class frigates are eight guided-missile frigates in service in the Republic of China Navy (ROCN). They are based upon the U.S. Oliver Hazard Perry class and built by China Shipbuilding Corporation in Kaohsiung, Taiwan under license throughout the 1990s as part of the Kuang Hua I project. These frigates served as the mainstay of the ROCN's area air defense capability prior to the acquisition of the Keelung (Kidd)-class destroyers in 2005. They are designated with the hull classification PFG rather than FFG used by the Oliver Hazard Perry class.
The Wielingen class is a class of four multi-functional frigates constructed for and operated by the Belgian Naval Component. In service from 1976 to 2008 with the Belgians, three of the class were sold to Bulgaria for service with the Bulgarian Navy beginning in 2004. The ship is designed to replace the first People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) submarine tender PLANS Mount Tai, and the lead ship of the Dajiang class is the Changxingdao. The Type 925 is a submarine tender that can also be used as a submarine rescue ship, and hence, it is designated as a submarine support ship by Chinese.
The T43 were a class of open-ocean minesweepers built for the Soviet Navy from 1948 to 1957. It was exported to client states; the People's Republic of China and Poland produced additional ships. Some hulls were converted to other uses by various users. Examples remained in service in 2015.

The Tuzhong-class patrol ship is a class of oceangoing rescue and salvage ship in the People's Republic of China's China Coast Guard (CCG). Four were built at the Zhonghua Shipyard, and entered service with the People's Liberation Army Navy in the late-1970s. In 2009, each of the three fleets had one and the fourth was in reserve. In 2012, three were transferred to China Marine Surveillance and from there to the CCG.

PNS Nasr (A47) is a Type 905 replenishment oiler of the Pakistan Navy. The oiler was constructed in the People's Republic of China by the Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company and entered service in 1987.
