• 23 January – Twenty-one Israeli soldiers are killed in an explosion and subsequent building collapse in Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip, making it the deadliest day for the IDF since the ground invasion began. ^[4]

• 26 February – 2024 Palestinian government collapse: The entire Palestinian government, including Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, resigns from office, amid popular opposition and pressure from the United States during the Gaza war.
