The phylum Bacteroidota is composed of three large classes of Gram-negative, nonsporeforming, anaerobic or aerobic, and rod-shaped bacteria that are widely distributed in the environment, including in soil, sediments, and sea water, as well as in the guts and on the skin of animals.

Acidobacteriota is a phylum of Gram-negative bacteria. Its members are physiologically diverse and ubiquitous, especially in soils, but are under-represented in culture.

Acidobacterium Genus of bacteria

Acidobacterium is a bacterial genus from the family of Acidobacteriaceae.

The Sphingobacteriales is an order of environmental bacteria.

Chloracidobacterium is a genus of the Acidobacteriota. It is currently assigned to the family Acidobacteriaceae, but phylogenetic evidence suggests that it belongs in Blastocatellia.

Acidiphilium is a genus in the phylum Pseudomonadota (Bacteria). As the name suggests, this comprises a nutritionally diverse genus of bacteria adapted to life in extremely acidic conditions, and often exhibiting FeIII reduction.

Acidisoma is a genus in the phylum Pseudomonadota (Bacteria). It contains two species, Acidisoma tundrae and Acidisoma sibiricum, both two acidophilic and psychrotolerant (2–30 °C) bacteria with poly-β-hydroxybutyrate granules, isolated from acidic Sphagnum-dominated tundra and Siberian wetlands in Russia.

Acidisphaera is a genus in the phylum Pseudomonadota (Bacteria). The genus contains a single species, namely A. rubrifaciens with the following characteristics:

Armatimonadota is a phylum of gram-negative bacteria.

Armatimonas rosea is a Gram-negative bacterium and also the first species to be characterized within the phylum Armatimonadota. The Armatimonadota were previously known as candidate phylum OP10. OP10 was composed solely of environmental 16S rRNA gene clone sequences prior to A. rosea's discovery.

Acidobacterium capsulatum is a bacterium. It is an acidophilic chemoorganotrophic bacterium containing menaquinone. It is gram-negative, facultative anaerobic, mesophilic, non-spore-forming, capsulated, saccharolytic and rod-shaped. It is also motile by peritrichous flagella. Its type strain is JCM 7670.

Bryocella elongata is a bacterium, a type species of genus Bryocella. Cells are Gram-negative, non-motile pink-pigmented rods that multiply by normal cell division and form rosettes. The type strain is SN10(T). B. elongata was first isolated in 2011 from a methanotropic enrichment culture.

Rhodoplanes is a phototrophic genus of bacteria. Rhodoplanes produces hopanoids like diplopterol, tetrahymanol, 2-methyldiplopterol, 2-methyltetrahymanol, bacteriohopanetetrol, bacteriohopaneaminotriol and carotenoids like spirilloxanthin, rhodopin, anhydrorhodovibrin, 1,1′-dihydroxylycopene and 3,4,3′,4′-tetrahydrospirilloxanthin
