Clifton Heights is a neighborhood two miles east of downtown Louisville, Kentucky USA. It was named because of its hilly location atop a ridge about 100 feet above the Ohio River floodplain, overlooking the adjacent community of Clifton. Though first planned in the 1890s as Summit Park, actual growth didn't begin until after World War I when automobiles made the hilly area accessible. Clifton Heights has had an African American presence since its founding, in 2000 they accounted for 21% of the population. Housing stock includes a variety of styles and time frames, from older shotgun houses and bungalows to suburban ranch homes built in the 1970s.

Algonquin is a neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. Its boundaries are Hill street to the north, Cypress Street to the west, CSX tracks to the east, and Bernheim Lane and Algonquin Parkway to the south. It was established in the 1920s and is primarily a residential neighborhood, named for nearby Algonquin Park. Samuel D. Jones Park is located on Thirteenth and Bashear streets.
Audubon is a neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. Its boundaries are Clarks Lane to the north, Poplar Level Road to the east, Preston Highway to the west, and the city of Audubon Park to the south. The smaller city of Parkway Village is surrounded by Audubon. George Rogers Clark Park, the site of a cabin owned by the parents of George Rogers Clark, is a prominent feature of the neighborhood.
Klondike is a neighborhood in eastern Louisville, Kentucky, United States. Due to being on the edge of the old city limits, its boundaries are irregular, it is south of Hikes Lane and west of Breckenridge Lane. Development began after World War II, with developers Edward Butler and Chester Cooper purchasing and subdividing 45 acres (180,000 m2) of the Graff farm and part of the Hikes family's Midlane farm.
Hayfield-Dundee is a neighborhood in eastern Louisville, Kentucky. Its boundaries are Dundee Road, Emerson Avenue, Newburg Road, I-264, and Tremont Drive to the east. Prior to subdivision, much of the land had been part of the Hayfield Farm, owned by Dr. Charles Wilkens Short, a founding professor of the University of Louisville medical school.
Gardiner Lane is a neighborhood in eastern Louisville, Kentucky, United States. Its boundaries are Emerson Avenue to the north, Bardstown Road to the east, I-264 to the south, and Tremont Drive to the west. As with surrounding neighborhoods, it was farmland well into the first half of the 1900s. 16 subdivisions were developed from 1913 to 1950.
Waverly Hills is a neighborhood in Southwestern Louisville, Kentucky which is centered at Dixie Highway and Pages Lane. It is located in a hilly section of the city, which is part of the larger Knobs Region which extends into southeastern Kentucky. Its boundaries are roughly Stonestreet Road and 3rd Street Road to the south, Dixie Highway to the west, St Andrews Church Road to the north, and Auburndale to the east.
Worthington is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky located along Brownsboro Road and Ballardsville Road. In the 1870s, a toll gate was built on Brownsboro Road at its intersection with Ballardsville Road. In the early 1900s the area was primarily potato farms, but residential development which began in the 1940s accelerated with the opening of Interstates 71 and 265 in the late 1960s.
Kosmosdale is a neighborhood in southwestern Louisville, Kentucky located along Dixie Highway near Depot Lane and is named after the Kosmos Cement Company. The Kosmos Cement Company was purchased by the Flintkote Corporation in 1957 and operated as a Division of Flintkote for many years. It is now operated by Cemex, Inc. as a joint venture.
Griffytown is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky located in unincorporated Jefferson County, along Old Harrods Creek Road. Streets within its boundaries include: Bellewood Road, Robert Road, Church Lane, Lincoln Way, Cox Lane, Malcolm Avenue, Plainview Avenue and Booker Road. In 1879, a freed slave named Dan Griffith, an African American, purchased the land he had been living on in the area and the neighborhood appears to be named for him. The neighborhood was redeveloped in the 1970s through urban renewal and remains predominantly African American, although a number of families of other races live there as well.
Riverside Gardens is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky centered along Campground Road and Lees Lane. In 2007, the first stretch of the proposed 110-mile Louisville Loop bike and pedestrian trail was completed to Lees Lane in Riverside Gardens from Riverview Park. The project included a $2 million bridge over Mill Creek. The concrete trail is expected to be connected to Shawnee Park by spring of 2008. In the future, a wharf and riverfront park is planned for Riverside Gardens.
O'Bannon is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky centered along Old LaGrange Road and Collins Lane. O'Bannon was originally called Williamson after its first postmaster John Williamson, but was renamed in 1859 after postmaster John O'Bannon. The Post Office was located at the southwest corner of Old LaGrange Road and Collins Lane. O'Bannon Elementary School, which was located on Factory Lane, closed in 1960.
Springdale is a neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky located along Brownsboro Road and Barbour Lane. The community is named for the family farm purchased by Laurence Young and his family in 1830, which was intersected by present-day Brownsboro Road, with the estate on the south side of the road. The Young family's Springdale farm today is the site of the Standard Country Club, as well as portions of Barbourmeade, Goose Creek and Brownsboro Farm. Though it is not a formally recognized neighborhood or district within Louisville, nor does it have official boundaries, older businesses and institutions in the community still retain the Springdale name, and the name was used to refer to the area until it was subdivided in the 1950s and '60s.

Also included are "areas immediately adjoining Shelbyville Rd. from Cannons Ln. to Fairfax Ave. and those along Nanz Ave. from Cannons Ln. to Macon Ave."
