Glenview Manor was named for the nearby community of Glenview, although Glenview Manor was formally incorporated in 1965, [4] two decades before the original town received similar recognition.
Glenview Manor is located in northern Jefferson County. It is bordered to the south and west by Northfield and to the north and east by consolidated Louisville/Jefferson County. The city is 8 miles (13 km) northeast of downtown Louisville.
