The insect tribe Stromboscerini is part of the weevil family Curculionidae, subfamily Dryophthorinae. It is a small and little-known weevil group. Alonso-Zarazaga & Lyal (1999) treated it as a subfamily.
Anthribidae is a family of beetles also known as fungus weevils. The antennae are not elbowed, may occasionally be longer than the body and thread-like, and can be the longest of any members of Curculionoidea. As in the Nemonychidae, the labrum appears as a separate segment to the clypeus, and the maxillary palps are long and projecting.
Apsilocephalidae is a family of flies in the superfamily Asiloidea. It was historically treated as a subfamily within Therevidae, but placed in a separate family in 1991, and subsequently recognized as more distantly related. The family contains three extant genera and at least five extinct genera described from the fossil record.
Brachycerinae is a weevil subfamily in the family Brachyceridae.

Cnemogonini is a tribe of minute seed weevils in the family of beetles known as Curculionidae. There are 15 genera in Cnemogonini.
Caecossonus dentipes is a species of true weevil in the beetle family Curculionidae are the family of the "true" weevils. They are one of the largest animal families, with 5,489 genera and 82,741[1] species described worldwide. It is found in North America. a molytine tribe endemic to Central America, the Caribbean Islands and some areas of the USA .
Orthognathini is a tribe of true weevils in the family of beetles known as Curculionidae.
Procas is a genus of marsh weevils in the family of beetles known as Brachyceridae. There are at least 20 described species in Procas.
Ellescini is a tribe of true weevils in the family of beetles known as Curculionidae. There are at least 3 genera and about 18 described species in Ellescini.
