The Ethiopian Beauty Queens is a beauty pageant that was first held in 2003. It is the national contest to choose the representative for the Miss World, Miss International, Miss Grand International and Miss Intercontinental pageants. This national selection is unrelated to Miss Universe Ethiopia or Miss Ethiopia pageants. [1]

History

Began in 2003, the Ethiopian beauty queens was named as Miss World Ethiopia by Gadol Wilson, the President of Ethiopian Beauty Queens and in 2012 the owner had a cooperation agreement with Murad Mohammed, the Present of Miss Ethiopia Organization to send a winner of Miss Ethiopia 2012 to Miss World 2013. [2]

Binibining Pilipinas is a national beauty pageant in the Philippines that selects Filipina representatives to compete in one of the Big Four international beauty pageants: Miss International and selects three other titleholders to participate in minor international pageants such as Miss Grand International, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Globe.

The Miss Universe Canada or "Beauties of Canada" is a national beauty pageant in Canada, which sends its winners to the Miss Universe pageant.

Señorita Panamá National beauty pageant

Señorita Panamá is a national beauty pageant in Panama. As of the 2021 edition, its winners represent Panama in Miss Universe, Miss Grand International, and Miss Supranational. The Miss Panama brand started in 1952, when the Panamanian Institute of Tourism received an invitation from Miss Universe to send a representative. In 1975, the Señorita Panamá name was used for the first time, reverting to Miss Panama in 1976. In 1982, Señorita Panamá was created by RPC Channel 4 as an alternative to send its winners to the Miss World contest in London. These pageants, along with smaller pageants such as Miss International Panamá and Miss World Panamá celebrated to select delegates for international representations.

Miss Universe Albania is a national beauty pageant in Albania. The pageant was founded as Miss Albania in 2002, until rebranding as Miss Universe Albania in 2006. Since 2021, winners of the competition have competed internationally in Miss Universe, Miss Earth and Miss World.

Yodit Getahun Ethiopian beauty pageant contestant (born 1985)

Yodit Getahun is an Ethiopian beauty pageant contestant. She was crowned Miss Ethiopia World for 2003, represented Ethiopia in three International pageants, and was awarded two titles. She participated in the "Miss Tourism of the Globe" Contest in Moscow, Russia where she won a minor sponsor title called "Miss Neva 2003". She was awarded the "Miss Congeniality" title at Miss Earth beauty pageant in Manila, Philippines. She was also sponsored by London-based Ethiopian Life Foundation, and participated in the Miss International Beauty Pageant in Tokyo, Japan.

Miss Earth New Zealand

Miss Earth New Zealand is a New Zealand national beauty contest. The winner represents New Zealand in the international Miss Earth beauty pageant. The national franchise was launched in 2001 by Miss World New Zealand Ltd, under the directorship of Ros Taylor. In 2011, the New Zealand Asia Pacific Trust acquired to the Miss Earth New Zealand franchise.

Miss International 2012

Miss International 2012, the 52nd Miss International pageant, was held on October 21, 2012 at Okinawa Prefectural Budokan Arena Building in Okinawa, Japan. Fernanda Cornejo from Ecuador crowned her successor Ikumi Yoshimatsu from Japan at the end of the event.

Martinique Queens is a national beauty pageant responsible for selecting Martinique's representatives to the International pageants. This pageant is not related to Miss Martinique where the winner traditionally competes at Miss France contest.

Glamanand Supermodel India National beauty pageant competition in India

Glamanand International India is a national beauty pageant in India that annually selects representative to compete in Miss International, one of the Big Four major international beauty pageants. The pageant also selects representatives to Miss Grand International and Miss Multinational, an international pageant organized by the Glamanand group.
