Fraysexuality (also less commonly known as ignotasexual) is the phenomenon of people who are sexually attracted to people they don't know, and the more they know a person, the less they are sexually attracted to them, and is a subsector of grey asexuality.
Attraction can disappear if an emotional connection develops. [13] [3] In a way, the emergence of attraction in fraysexuality is conditioned almost exclusively to unknown people, [14] [15] [16] even feeling immediate attraction to them, [17] [18] [19] or people who they are not attached to. [20] [21] [22]
It is often described as the polar opposite of demisexuality. [23] [24] [2]

The attribution of the term fray as sexuality is credited to Tumblr user edensmachine, an account that has been deactivated, and has existed since at least 2014. [25] The term fraysexual is probably a neologism from fray, [26] which means fighting, which could represent the lack or breaking of affective bonds in people fighting. [27] [28]
