The OSSR would later like to procure 400 vehicles and that is not the final number , which they would like to acquire. [75]
>Slovakia has seven Czech-made L-410 light aircraft, four relatively new machines in the L-410UVP-E20 version, w two twin-engine turboprop C-27J Spartan transport aircraft. These aircraft will be retired or offered either for sale or exchange. The Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic proposes the procurement of a new type of 2 twin-engine jets to replace the L-410, and the purchase of the four Brazilian Embraer C-390 Millennium is also expected. The Movement for a Democratic Slovakia, later known as the People's Party – Movement for a Democratic Slovakia, was a populist political party in Slovakia. The party is commonly considered as having been authoritarian and illiberal.
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Slovakia face significant challenges not experienced by non-LGBTQ residents. The status of LGBT rights in Slovakia are regarded as some of the worst among the European Union countries.
The Slovak Air Force, known since 2002 as the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, is the aviation and air defense branch of the Slovak Armed Forces. Operating 15 aircraft and 18 helicopters from three air bases : Malacky–Kuchyňa, Sliač, Prešov. It succeeded the Czechoslovak Air Force together with the Czech Air Force in 1993. The Slovak Air Force is part of NATO Integrated Air Defense System – NATINADS.
The Ministry of Defence of Slovakia is responsible for the planning and carrying-out of defense policy. It is the direct successor of the Czechoslovak Ministry of Defence. Its current headquarters is located in Bratislava.
Jana Žitňanská is a Slovak journalist and politician. She has been a Member of the European Parliament since 2014 as well as the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR). Žitňanská worked as a member of the Broadcasting and Retransmission Council between 2001 and 2007.
Michal Šimečka is a Slovak politician, journalist, and researcher, who served as a Vice-President of the European Parliament between 2022 and 2023. He also became a Member of the European Parliament between 2019 and 2023. In 2020, Šimečka was elected vice-president of the European political group Renew Europe. He is a co-founder of the social-liberal Progressive Slovakia party, leading it from 2022.
Denisa Saková is a Slovak politician who has been serving as Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia and Minister of Economy in the Fourth cabinet of Robert Fico since 25 October 2023.
Jaroslav Naď is a Slovak politician who served as Minister of Defence between March 2020 and May 2023, as a nominee of OĽaNO. He specialises in national security issues and previously worked with Globsec. Naď currently serves as a deputy chairman of the Democrats.
Marek Krajčí is a Slovak politician.
The 2018 Slovak local elections were held on Saturday, 10 November 2018, to elect deputies to municipality councils, city councils and mayors, including mayors of boroughs and members of their councils in Bratislava and Košice.
The Republic Movement is an extremist far-right political party in Slovakia led by Milan Uhrík. The party is often regarded as neo-fascist despite some political experts contesting this description.

Natália Blahová is a Slovak politician, who served as a Member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for the Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party from 2010 to 2012 and from 2016 to 2020. In 2019, she was expelled from SaS and subsequently joined the Democratic Party.
Milan Majerský is a Slovak politician. He has served as the Governor of the Prešov Region since 2017, the chairman of the Christian Democratic Movement since 2020 and a Member of the National Council of Slovakia since 2023. He previously served as mayor of Levoča from 2014 to 2017.
Jozef Ráž is a Slovak politician. He currently serves as the minister of Transport.
Matúš Šutaj Eštok is a Slovak politician who has served as the Minister of Interior of Slovakia since 2023. He was an MP of the National Council.
Richard Takáč is a Slovak politician who has served as Minister of Agriculture of Slovakia since 2023. He is also a former deputy of the Trenčín self-governing region and a deputy of the city of Prievidza.
The BOV 8x8 Patria is an 8×8 multi-role military vehicle produced by Patria Land oy., a Konštrukta – Defence company, in Dubnica nad Váhom with cooperation with DMD group and ZTS špeciál. The vehicle is a licensed variant of the Finnish Patria AMVxp.
