Mohd Azizi bin Abu Naim [1] is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gua Musang since November 2022. He served as Member of the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Nenggiri from August 2023 to his disqualification in June 2024. He was a member and Division Chief of Gua Musang of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party,a component party of Perikatan Nasional coalition. He is the shortest-serving Nenggiri MLA in the history,in office for only slightly over 10 months. Currently,he is an independent politician since his BERSATU membership ended on 12 June 2024.
On 7 November 2023,Mohd Azizi declared support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's government,making him the third opposition member to support the government. [2] On 19 June 2024,Speaker of the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly Mohd Amar Abdullah declared the vacancy of the Nenggiri state seat held and represented by Mohd Azizi after his BERSATU membership ended. Gua Musang is a town,district and parliamentary constituency in southern Kelantan,Malaysia. It is the largest district in Kelantan. Gua Musang is administered by the Gua Musang District Council. Gua Musang district is bordered by the state of Pahang to the south,Terengganu to the east,Perak to the west and the Kelantanese districts of Kuala Krai and Jeli to the north. It is a small railway town about 140 km south of state capital Kota Bharu. Gua Musang is represented by Mohd Azizi Abu Naim in the Dewan Rakyat. The town lies on the KTM East Coast Line,from Tumpat,near the border with Thailand,to Gemas,Negeri Sembilan.

The 2023 Sabah political crisis or widely reported on local media as Langkah Kinabalu or the Kinabalu Move,began on 6 January 2023,when the state government of Sabah led by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) collapsed when its coalition party Barisan Nasional (BN) withdrew its support. The Leader of UMNO Sabah,a component party of BN,Bung Moktar Radin,Kinabatangan Member of Parliament (MP) and Lamag Assemblyman,cited a lack of confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister of Sabah Hajiji Noor in the withdrawal. UMNO Sabah want to change support from supporting GRS coalition to supporting the WARISAN Plus coalition. On 9 January,both Malaysian leaders,prime minister Anwar Ibrahim and deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi travelled to Kota Kinabalu to meet with Sabah political leaders. This crisis resulted in the approval of the Anti-Switching Parties Law in Sabah (approved in 25 May 2023).
