Khlir bin Mohd Nor (born 4 July 1958) is a Malaysian politician and former military officer who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketereh since November 2022. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. [1]
In the 2022 general election, Khlir made his electoral debut after being nominated by PN to contest for the Ketereh federal seat. He won the seat and was elected to Parliament as the Ketereh MP after defeating Marzuani Ardilla Ariffin of Barisan Nasional (BN), Rahimi L Muhamud of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Haneef Ibrahim of Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA) by a majority of 23,107 votes. [2]
There were rumours that Khlir was to be nominated as the new Leader of the Opposition to replace Hamzah Zainudin by Chairman of PN Muhyiddin Yassin after a political fallout between Muhyiddin and Hamzah on which direction should BERSATU go to and who the candidate for the Menteri Besar of Selangor in the 2023 Selangor state election is. They were however rubbished by Muhyiddin.

Mohamed Azmin bin Ali is a Malaysian politician who served as Senior Minister of the Economic Cluster and as Minister of International Trade and Industry from 2020 to 2022. A member of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU), which is the component party of Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, he served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gombak from 2008 to 2022 and Member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bukit Antarabangsa from 2008 to 2023. He is the current Leader of Opposition of Selangor and Member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Hulu Kelang since August 2023.
Dato' Seri Hamzah bin Zainudin is a Malaysian politician who has served as the 17th Leader of the Opposition since December 2022 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Larut since March 2008. He served as the Minister of Home Affairs for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021, Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities and Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government in the BN administration under former Prime Ministers Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Najib Razak from March 2008 to the collapse of the BN administration in May 2018 as well as Senator from September 2000 to September 2006. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. Ismail bin Abdul Muttalib is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Maran since March 2004. He served as the Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Reezal Merican Naina Merican from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. He is a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), a component party of the PN coalition and was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition.
The Malaysian United Indigenous Party, abbreviated BERSATU or PPBM, is a nationalist political party in Malaysia. The party was preceded by the United Indigenous Association of Malaysia. It is a major component party within the Perikatan Nasional coalition. BERSATU was approved and registered on 14 January 2017 by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) and the use of the BERSATU logo was authorized by the Malaysian Election Commission (SPR). The party held the Prime Ministerial position as well as the majority of positions in the cabinet from May 2020 to August 2021. The party's founding members came from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and Barisan Nasional rebel group Gabungan Ketua Cawangan Malaysia in 2016.
Datuk Seri Dr. Edmund Santhara Kumar Ramanaidu is a Malaysian politician, businessman and entrepreneur who served as Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Nancy Shukri from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022, Deputy Minister of Federal Territories in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Annuar Musa from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Segamat from May 2018 to November 2022. He is a member of the Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) and was an associate member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the PN coalition and he created history of becoming the first non-indigenous politician to join BERSATU as an associate member. Previously was a member, National Integration Bureau chairman and Coordinator of Segamat of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition coalition. He resigned from PKR and joined BERSATU in February 2020 Sheraton Move. He served as the 1st Deputy President of PBM from October 2022 to February 2023. In the November 2022 Malaysian general elections, he chose not to seek reelection as an MP and defend the Segamat seat that he had won in the previous election as a PKR candidate for personal reasons.
General elections were held in Malaysia on Saturday, 19 November 2022. The prospect of snap elections had been considered high due to the political crisis that had been ongoing since 2020; political instability caused by coalition or party switching among members of Parliament, combined with the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, contributed to the resignation of two prime ministers and the collapse of each of their respective coalition governments since the 2018 general elections.

After the defeat of BN to Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the 2018 general election, he resigned from UMNO in 2018 and joined BERSATU in 2019.
Mohd Radzi bin Md Jidin is a Malaysian politician and forensic accountant who served as Senior Minister of the Education and Social Cluster and as Minister of Education from 2020 to 2022. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Putrajaya since November 2022.
The 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis was triggered after several Members of Parliament (MPs) of the 14th Malaysian Parliament changed party support, leading to the loss of a parliamentary majority, the collapse of two successive coalition governments, and the resignation of two Prime Ministers. The political crisis culminated in a 2022 snap general election and eventual formation of a coalition government.
The National Alliance is a political coalition composed of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party, Malaysian Islamic Party, Malaysian People's Movement Party and Sabah Progressive Party. This coalition was preceded by the Malaysian Party Alliance Association, also known as the Persatuan Perikatan Parti Malaysia (PPPM). Datuk Armizan bin Mohd Ali is a Malaysian politician who has served as Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Sabah, Sarawak Affairs and Special Functions and Acting Minister of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2022 and July 2023 respectively as well as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Papar since November 2022. Green Wave, also known as Green Tsunami, better known as Malay Wave, also known as Malay Tsunami, otherwise known as The People's Wave, alternatively known as Perikatan Nasional Wave, shortened as PN Wave, is a political phenomenon that has taken place in Malaysia since the 2022 Malaysian general election. This political phenomenon involves Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and its voters, who mainly originate from the conservative northeastern and northwestern parts of Peninsular Malaysia.
