Azman bin Nasrudin (born 11 April 1972) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Padang Serai since December 2022. He served as Member of the Kedah State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) state administration under Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor from May 2020 to August 2023 and in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration under former Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir from 2018 to 2020 and Member of the Kedah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Lunas from May 2013 to August 2023. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the PN coalition was a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of the PH coalition.
On 12 May 2020,Azman and Sidam MLA Robert Ling Kui Ee of PH defected from PKR and became independent MLAs in support of PN,leading to the resignation of Mukhriz Mahathir as Menteri Besar and collapse of the PH state administration led by Mukhriz as PH had lost the majority support in the assembly required to form the government after both of them withdrew support for PH who had only a slim majority in the assembly. Following that,PH returned to the opposition while PN and PN became the government with the appointment of Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor of PN as the new Menteri Besar on 17 May 2020. Sanusi then reappointed him as EXCO member. [1] [2]

Dato' Seri Utama Mukhriz bin Tun Dr. Mahathir is a Malaysian politician and businessman served as the 11th and 13th Menteri Besar of Kedah from May 2013 to February 2016 and again from May 2018 to May 2020, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Ministers Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Najib Razak as well as former Minister Mustapa Mohamed from March 2008 to May 2013, Member of Parliament (MP) for Jerlun from March 2008 to May 2013 and again from May 2018 to November 2022 as well as Member of the Kedah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Jitra from May 2018 to August 2023 and for Ayer Hitam from May 2013 to May 2018. He is the third son of Mahathir Mohamad, the 4th, 7th and former Prime Minister of Malaysia. He has been the 1st and founding President of the Homeland Fighters Party (PEJUANG) since party foundation in August 2020. He was the 1st and founding Deputy President and State Chairman of Kedah of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) from party foundation in September 2016 to his membership termination in May 2020 and was also the State Chairman of Kedah of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He was also a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. He left UMNO with Mahathir and they founded BERSATU in 2016. Mahathir and his BERSATU memberships were terminated and they founded PEJUANG in 2020. He is one of the two Menteris Besar of Malaysia who represented two different political parties and coalitions.
Dato' Haji Phahrolrazi bin Haji Mohd Zawawi is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Kedah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Alor Mengkudu from May 2018 to August 2023 and for Pengkalan Kundor from March 2008 to May 2018 as well as from December 1999 to March 2004, Leader of the Opposition of Kedah from July 2020 to October 2022 and Member of the Kedah State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state administration under former Menteri Besar Azizan Abdul Razak from March 2009 to February 2012. Ahmad Bashah bin Md Hanipah is a Malaysian politician. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party in the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was the Menteri Besar of Kedah from 4 February 2016 to 10 May 2018. He was appointed as Menteri Besar after Mukhriz Mahathir agreed to step down after losing majority support in the state assembly. Ahmad Bashah was sworn in as Menteri Besar of Kedah the day after Mukhriz resigned, on February 4, 2016.
