Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang is a retired Malaysian politician. He was the longest-serving opposition leader in Malaysia, having held the position for a total of 29 years on three separate occasions, as well as the second longest-serving member of parliament. He was also the former Secretary-General and National Chairman of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), which is a component party of the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
Gobind Singh Deo s/o Karpal Singh is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Minister of Digital in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Damansara since November 2022. His brothers Ramkarpal Singh and Jagdeep Singh Deo are also DAP leaders. He also created history by becoming the first ever Sikh Cabinet minister in the Malaysian history.

He is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the PH coalition. He has served as Deputy Secretary-General of DAP since March 2022 and State Chairman of DAP of Johor. He was the Political Education Director of DAP.
Chow Kon Yeow is a Malaysian politician, lawyer and journalist who has served as the 5th Chief Minister of Penang since May 2018, Member of the Penang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Padang Kota since March 2008 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Batu Kawan since November 2022. He served as Member of the Penang State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administrations under former Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng from March 2008 to his promotion to Chief Ministership in May 2018, MP for Tanjong from November 1999 to May 2013 and again from May 2018 to November 2022 and the MLA for Pengkalan Kota from October 1990 to April 1995. He is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the PH and formerly PR coalitions. He has also served as the State Chairman of PH and DAP of Penang since May 2019 as well as the National Vice Chairman of DAP since September 2004. He is presently the only non-Muslim and Chinese head of state government among the 13 Malaysian states.
Ronald Kiandee is a Malaysian politician. A member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) and its Vice President since August 2020 and 2nd State Chairman of Sabah since December 2022, he has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Beluran since November 1999. He served as Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. He was reappointed to the same post for a second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 until the dissolution of the BN government in November 2022, when BN lost its reelection campaign in the 2022 general election. Prior to serving in the Cabinet, Kiandee was the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration from 2018 to 2019 and Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat in the BN administration from 2008 to 2018. He is presently the sole MP of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party of Sabah and one of the only two Christian MPs of PN alongside Ali Biju.
Datuk Wira Hajah Mas Ermieyati binti Samsudin is a Malaysian politician who has served as Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) since April 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Masjid Tanah since May 2013. She is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the PN coalition and was a member of United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. She has served as the 2nd Deputy Women Chief of BERSATU since August 2020 and the Women Youth Chief of the UMNO from October 2013 to June 2018. After the defeat of BN to the Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition coalition in the 2018 general election, she resigned from UMNO in 2018 and joined BERSATU in 2019. She is also the second female PAC chairperson after Noraini Ahmad in Malaysian history.
The Alliance of Hope is a Malaysian political coalition consisting of centre-left political parties which was formed in 2015 to succeed the Pakatan Rakyat coalition. It has been part of a "Unity Government" since November 2022 together with other political coalitions and parties as a result of the 2022 Malaysian general election, and previously for 22 months after it had won the 2018 Malaysian general election until February 2020 when it lost power as a result of the 2020 Malaysian political crisis at the federal level. The coalition deposed the Barisan Nasional coalition government during the 2018 election, ending its 60-year-long reign since independence.

General elections were held in Malaysia on Saturday, 19 November 2022. The prospect of snap elections had been considered high due to the political crisis that had been ongoing since 2020; political instability caused by coalition or party switching among members of Parliament, combined with the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, contributed to the resignation of two prime ministers and the collapse of each of their respective coalition governments since the 2018 general elections.

The 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis was triggered after several Members of Parliament (MPs) of the 14th Malaysian Parliament changed party support, leading to the loss of a parliamentary majority, the collapse of two successive coalition governments, and the resignation of two Prime Ministers. The political crisis culminated in a 2022 snap general election and eventual formation of a coalition government.
The National Alliance is a political coalition composed of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party, Malaysian Islamic Party, Malaysian People's Movement Party and Sabah Progressive Party. Fadhlina binti Sidek is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Minister of Education in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2022 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nibong Tebal since November 2022. She served as a Senator from September 2021 to her resignation in November 2022. She is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the PH coalition. She has also served as the Women Chief of PKR since July 2022. She is also the first female Minister of Education in the Malaysian history.
Raj Munni Sabu more commonly known as Aiman Athirah Al Jundi is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Local Government Development in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Nga Kor Ming since December 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sepang since November 2022. She served as Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development in the PH administration under Prime Minister Anwar and Minister Nancy Shukri from December 2022 to December 2023 and was a Senator from August 2018 to August 2021. She is a member of the National Trust Party (AMANAH), a component party of the PH coalition. She has also served as the 3rd Women Chief of PH since September 2021 and 2nd Women Chief of AMANAH since December 2019.
Fathul Huzir bin Ayob is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gerik since November 2022. He is a member of Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. He was Division Secretary of BERSATU of Gerik prior to his resignation in October 2023.
