Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Ahmad Johnie bin Zawawi (born 1 June 1963) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Igan since May 2018. He is also the non-executive Chairman of Indah Water since 2020. He is a member of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB),a component party of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and formerly Barisan Nasional (BN) coalitions.
Johnie was born in Daro and obtained a bachelor's degree in political science from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 1986. [1] [2] He used to work at the Royal Malaysian Customs Department from 1988 to 2000 before becoming the Chief Operating Officer of The Sarawak Press and Warta Distributions (2000-2004),as well as WHS Holdings (2004-2015). [1]
He contested for Igan as the then ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate at the 2018 election and defeated the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Andri Zulkarnaen Hamden. [3]
On 13 May 2020,Johnie was appointed non-executive Chairman of Indah Water by the then Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. [2]
Johnie has three children with his wife. [1] He is of Melanau descent. [1]

The National Front,officially Barisan Nasional (BN),is a political coalition of Malaysia that was founded in 1974 as a coalition of centre-right and right-wing political parties to succeed the Alliance Party. It is the third largest political coalition with 30 seats in the Dewan Rakyat after Pakatan Harapan (PH) with 82 seats and Perikatan Nasional (PN) with 74 seats.
Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Minister of Defence since December 2023 and previously served as the Minister of Higher Education for the second term from December 2022 to December 2023 in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. He had previously served as Deputy Minister of Works,Minister of Entrepreneur and Co-operatives Development and his first term as Minister of Higher Education in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Ministers Mahathir Mohamad,Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Najib Razak from 1999 to 2013. Additionally,he served as the 15th Menteri Besar of Johor after he contested and became a Member of the Johor State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Permas from May 2013 to May 2018. Throughout his political career,he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for 3 different Johorean federal constituencies,which are Johor Bahru from October 1990 to March 2004,Pasir Gudang from March 2004 to May 2013 and currently for Kota Tinggi since November 2022. He is a member and the Division Chief of Pasir Gudang of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He has served as a Vice President of UMNO since June 2018 and had also served as the State Chairman of UMNO of Johor from January to December 2023.
Ronald Kiandee is a Malaysian politician. A member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) and its Vice President since August 2020 and 2nd State Chairman of Sabah since December 2022,he has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Beluran since November 1999. He served as Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. He was reappointed to the same post for a second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 until the dissolution of the BN government in November 2022,when BN lost its reelection campaign in the 2022 general election. Prior to serving in the Cabinet,Kiandee was the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration from 2018 to 2019 and Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat I in the BN administration from 2008 to 2018. He is presently the sole MP of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party of Sabah and one of the only two Christian MPs of PN alongside Ali Biju.
Fadillah bin Yusof is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia since 2022,Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation since 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Petra Jaya since March 2004. He is the first DPM from Sarawak,one of the Borneo states in Malaysia and the second DPM not from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) after Wan Azizah Wan Ismail from the People's Justice Party (PKR).
Nancy binti Shukri is a Malaysian politician who has served as Minister of Women,Family and Community Development in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2022 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Santubong since November 2022. Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum is a Malaysian politician and former bank officer who served as the Deputy Minister of Information,Communications and Culture,Deputy Minister of Energy,Water and Communications and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Ministers Abdullah Ahmad Badawi,Najib Razak and former Ministers Rais Yatim,Shaziman Abu Mansor,Ahmad Shabery Cheek and Syed Hamid Albar from March 2004 to May 2013 as well as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Julau from November 1999 to May 2018. He is a member of the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a component party of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and formerly BN coalitions and was a member of the Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS),also a component party of the BN coalition. He has served as the 2nd President of PRS since October 2021,when he has served in official capacity since April 2022 and in acting capacity from October 2021 to April 2022. He also served as the Deputy President of PRS from October 2018 to his official promotion to the party presidency in October 2021 and Secretary-General of PRS from October 2016 to his promotion to party deputy presidency in October 2018. In addition,he was also previously one of the vice-presidents of PRS,prior to being made party secretary-general.
Alexander Nanta Linggi is a Malaysian politician. He is Secretary-General of both Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) and its coalition Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS). He has served as Minister of Works in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2022. He served as the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and his first term in Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021 as well as the Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Najib Razak and former Ministers Shafie Apdal and Ismail Sabri Yaakob from May 2013 to the collapse of the BN administration in May 2018. He has also served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kapit since November 1999. He is also the cousin of Wilson Ugak Kumbong,the current Deputy Minister of Digital and MP for Hulu Rajang.
Dato Henry Sum Agong is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lawas since March 2008. He served as the Deputy Minister of Transport in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Wee Ka Siong from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the Deputy Minister of Rural Development II in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Abdul Latiff Ahmad from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. He also served as Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade,Co-operatives and Consumerism in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Najib Razak and former Minister Hamzah Zainudin from June 2016 to May 2018 and MP for Bukit Mas from November 1999 to March 2008. He is a member of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB),a component party of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and formerly BN coalitions. He is the first deputy minister of the Lun Bawang ethnicity in the history of Malaysia.
General elections were held in Malaysia on Wednesday,9 May 2018. At stake were all 222 seats in the Dewan Rakyat,the lower house of parliament. The 13th Parliament was dissolved by Prime Minister Najib Razak on 7 April 2018. It would have been automatically dissolved on 24 June 2018,five years after the first meeting of the first session of the 13th Parliament of Malaysia on 24 June 2013.
Malaysian Nation Party is a registered political party in Malaysia. The party was founded as the Sarawak Workers Party before being handed over in November 2021. The party is currently represented by one Member of Parliament (MP) after the 15th general election (GE15).
The Malaysia Makkal Sakti Party is a political party in Malaysia that seeks to champion ethnic Malaysian-Indian issues. MMSP is an offshoot but unaffiliated of the apolitical NGO of Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF) formed by its former coordinator R.S. Thanenthiran and his detractors faction aligned to the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN)'s United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) government then whoes actrocities the movement had been fighting against. It is currently the fourth largest political coalition with 23 seats in the Dewan Rakyat,and forms the government in the state of Sarawak.

Wilson Ugak Kumbong is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Digital in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Gobind Singh Deo since December 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hulu Rajang since May 2013. He served as the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Sabah and Sarawak Affairs and Special Duties in the PH administration under Prime Minister Anwar and Minister Armizan Mohd Ali from December 2022 to December 2023 and Chairman of the Chairman of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) from April 2020 to his appointment as a deputy minister in December 2022. Dato Lukanisman bin Awang Sauni is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Health in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim as well as Ministers Zaliha Mustafa and Dzulkefly Ahmad since December 2022 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sibuti since May 2018.
