Mustapha @ Mohd Yunus Sakmud [1] (born 9 July 1968) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Higher Education in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir since December 2023 as well as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sepanggar since November 2022. He served as the Deputy Minister of Human Resources in the PH administration under Prime Minister Anwar and Minister V. Sivakumar from December 2022 to December 2023. He is a member and Division Chief of Kota Belud of the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of the PH coalition. [2]

The Alliance of Hope is a Malaysian political coalition consisting of centre-left political parties which was formed in 2015 to succeed the Pakatan Rakyat coalition. It has been part of a "Unity Government" since November 2022 together with other political coalitions and parties as a result of the 2022 Malaysian general election,and previously for 22 months after it had won the 2018 Malaysian general election until February 2020 when it lost power as a result of the 2020 Malaysian political crisis at the federal level. The Malaysian United Indigenous Party,abbreviated BERSATU or PPBM,is a nationalist political party in Malaysia. The party was preceded by the United Indigenous Association of Malaysia. It is a major component party within the Perikatan Nasional coalition. BERSATU was approved and registered on 14 January 2017 by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) and the use of the BERSATU logo was authorized by the Malaysian Election Commission (SPR). The Anwar Ibrahim cabinet is the current federal cabinet of Malaysia,formed on 3 December 2022,nine days after Anwar Ibrahim took office as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia. United Malays National Organisation of Sabah,also abbreviated as Sabah UMNO,is a branch of the United Malays National Organisation in Sabah,Malaysia. Sabah UMNO supported and was part of the federal government under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Sabah UMNO also had one elected representatives holding a deputy ministerial positions respectively in the Anwar Ibrahim cabinet.
