The Iban language is spoken by the Iban,one of the Dayak ethnic groups who live in Brunei,the Indonesian province of West Kalimantan and in the Malaysian state of Sarawak. It belongs to the Malayic subgroup,a Malayo-Polynesian branch of the Austronesian language family.
Simanggang is a town and the capital of Sri Aman District and Sri Aman Division in Sarawak,east Malaysia. Located on the Lupar River,it is 193 kilometres (120 mi),a three-hour drive,from Kuching,the capital of Sarawak. It is a trade center for the timber,oil palm,rubber,and pepper of its mostly agricultural district.

She is a member of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB),a component party of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and formerly BN coalitions.
William Nyallau Badak was a Malaysian politician and judge who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lubok Antu from March 2008 to May 2018. He was an independent in support for the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition and was a member of the Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) and the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a former component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was elected to Parliament in the 2008 election,replacing long-serving incumbent Jawah Gerang. Before entering Parliament,he was a Native Court judge. He joined PSB in 2019 after he was sacked from PRS on 22 April 2018 and dropped as a candidate in the 2018 general election. In 2021 Sarawak state election,he contested for the Batang Ai state seat as a PSB candidate but lost. On 8 November 2022,he left PSB and pledged his support for GPS.
Malaysian Nation Party is a registered political party in Malaysia. The party was founded as the Sarawak Workers Party before being handed over in November 2021. The party is currently represented by one Member of Parliament (MP) after the 15th general election (GE15).

He is a member of the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS),a component party of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition. He was elected in 2009 Batang Air by-election after the incumbent died of heart attack and re-elected in 2011,2016 and 2021.
General elections were held in Malaysia on Saturday,19 November 2022. The prospect of snap elections had been considered high due to the political crisis that had been ongoing since 2020;political instability caused by coalition or party switching among members of Parliament,combined with the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic,contributed to the resignation of two prime ministers and the collapse of each of their respective coalition governments since the 2018 general elections.
