The Kota Bharu District is a district in northern Kelantan, Malaysia. As of 2020, the district's population is estimated to be 608,600. [3] It contains the state capital, Kota Bharu, as well as Pengkalan Chepa and Ketereh.

Kota Bharu district is surrounded by six other districts, namely Bachok District, Pasir Puteh District, Machang District, Pasir Mas District and Tumpat District clockwise.

Ketereh is a town and parliamentary constituency in Kelantan. It is located in the southern half of Kota Bharu District, roughly halfway between metropolitan Kota Bharu and Machang along Highway 8. The town was named after the local name for the cashew fruit, ketereh.

The 2012 Malaysia Cup was the 86th edition of Malaysia Cup. The competition began on 24 August 2012 and ended on 20 October 2012 with the final, held at Shah Alam Stadium. A total of 16 teams took part in the competition. The teams were divided into four groups, each containing four teams. The group leaders and runners-up teams in the groups after 6 matches qualified to the quarterfinals.

Elections in Kelantan have been held in the Malaysian state of Kelantan since 1955 and have chosen Kelantan's elected representatives in the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Undangan Negeri.

Nik Mohamad Abduh bin Nik Abdul Aziz is a Malaysian politician who has served as a Senator since July 2023. He was the Chairman of the South Kelantan Development Authority (KESEDAR) from May 2020 to June 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bachok from May 2018 to November 2022 and for Pasir Mas from May 2013 to May 2018. He is a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) and formerly Gagasan Sejahtera (GS) and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions. He is the son of Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, the former Menteri Besar of Kelantan and former Spiritual Leader of PAS. He was the Youth Chief of PAS from June 2015 to April 2017.
