Mt. Healthy Public School is a registered historic building in Mt. Healthy, Ohio, listed in the National Register on May 2, 1985. The building is located at the corner of Compton Rd. and Harrison Ave. It opened in 1911 and was closed by the Mt Healthy City Schools in the 1980s. The building then underwent a series of acquisitions, and is currently used as the Mt. Healthy Preparatory and Fitness Academy. [ citation needed ]

The Grant Birthplace in Point Pleasant, Monroe Township, Ohio was the birthplace of U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant, who was born there in 1822. The home was built in 1817, and in 1821 Jesse Root Grant wed Hannah Simpson Grant and they moved into the home where they paid $2 a month rent. The future president lived in Point Pleasant for less than a year, as his family moved to Georgetown one month before his first birthday.

It is a single-story vernacular wood-frame structure, with a gabled roof, weatherboard siding, and a foundation of concrete block piers. It was built in 1897, and was used by the community as both a school and church. It served as a school until 1944, and also hosted civic meetings and social events.
