Public services

Saskatoon light and power provides electrical service to all Saskatoon neighbourhoods which existed after 1958 and lie roughly within the boundaries of Circle Drive. [9] Water is treated and supplied by the City of Saskatoon Water and Wastewater Treatment Branch. [10] There are health professional offices in the central business district, such as physician, dentist, and optometric services. The three Saskatoon hospitals are located in other nearby neighbourhoods. St. Paul's Hospital is located in Pleasant Hill, Royal University Hospital is located in the University of Saskatchewan Land Management area, and Saskatoon City Hospital is located in City Park. [11] The Northwest Division oversees the neighbourhoods on Saskatoon's west side surrounding the Central Division. [12] The Mount Royal subdivision is served by the City of Saskatoon Saskatoon Fire & Protective Services. Saskatoon Transit Route 5 (McCormack/City Center) goes down Rusholme Rd.

Government and politics

Mount Royal exists within the federal electoral district of Saskatoon West. It is currently represented by Sheri Benson of the New Democratic Party, first elected in 2015. [13]

Provincially, the area is within the constituency of Saskatoon Centre. It is currently represented by David Forbes of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party, first elected in 2001. [14]

In Saskatoon's non-partisan municipal politics, Mount Royal lies within ward 4. It is currently represented by Troy Davies, first elected in 2012. [15]

Hudson Bay Park is geographically located in north west Saskatoon just south of Circle Drive along 33rd Street and Avenue P North. Parkridge, Saskatoon Neighbourhood in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

Parkridge is a residential community in western Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, located on land annexed by the city between 1975 and 1979. Development of the subdivision, began in the early 1980s. The extreme west end of the neighbourhood remained undeveloped until the subsequent creation of the adjacent Blairmore Suburban Centre led to the final phase of Parkridge being built out in the early 2010s. Whereas the majority of residents are employed in the sales and service sector, the next highest employer is business, finance and administration. The two main age groups are those in their 40s and teenagers as of 2005. Until recently Parkridge was the farthest western neighbourhood of Saskatoon south of 22nd Street. River Heights is a neighbourhood in Lawson Suburban Development Area, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Its eastern boundary borders the South Saskatchewan River. The suburb is just south of the Mall at Lawson Heights. Development of the neighbourhood began in the very early 1960s, with full build out completed by the early 1980s. Most of the neighbourhood's land was annexed by the city in the late 1950s, with the eastern third of the district annexed in 1974.
