The median strip, central reservation, roadway median, or traffic median is the reserved area that separates opposing lanes of traffic on divided roadways such as divided highways, dual carriageways, freeways, and motorways. The term also applies to divided roadways other than highways, including some major streets in urban or suburban areas. The reserved area may simply be paved, but commonly it is adapted to other functions; for example, it may accommodate decorative landscaping, trees, a median barrier, or railway, rapid transit, light rail, or streetcar lines.
The Metro Rail Transit Line 3, also known as the MRT Line 3, MRT-3 or Metrostar Express, is a light rapid transit system line of Metro Manila, Philippines. Originally referred to as the Blue Line, MRT Line 3 was reclassified to be the Yellow Line in 2012. The line runs in an orbital north to south route following the alignment of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA). Although it has some characteristics of light rail, such as the type of a tram-like rolling stock used, it is more akin to a rapid transit system owing to its total grade separation and high passenger throughput.
Rail transportation in the Philippines is currently used mostly to transport passengers within Metro Manila and provinces of Laguna and Quezon, as well as a commuter service in the Bicol Region. Freight transport services once operated in the country, but these services were halted. However, there are plans to restore old freight services and build new lines. From a peak of 1,100 kilometers (680 mi), the country currently has a railway footprint of 533.14 kilometers (331.28 mi), of which only 129.85 kilometers (80.69 mi) are operational as of 2023, including all the urban rail lines. World War II, natural calamities, underspending, and neglect have all contributed to the decline of the Philippine railway network. In the 2019 Global Competitiveness Report, the Philippines has the lowest efficiency score among other Asian countries in terms of efficiency of train services, receiving a score of 2.4, and ranking 86th out of 101 countries globally. The government is currently expanding the railway network up to 1,900 kilometers (1,200 mi) by 2022 through numerous projects.
Monumento station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station serves the southern portion of Caloocan, and is named after the most famous landmark of Caloocan, the Monumento Circle, which houses the Bonifacio Monument, a famous monument to Andrés Bonifacio. The name Monumento itself is derived from the Spanish word for monument. Being a former northern terminus of Line 1, it is called Monumento Terminal.
Quirino station is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. The station serves Malate in Manila and is located at the meeting point of Taft Avenue, Quirino Avenue, and San Andres Street. The station is named after Quirino Avenue, which is in turn named after former president Elpidio Quirino.
North Avenue station is an elevated Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station situated on Line 3. Located in Diliman in Quezon City and is named after its location, which is at the corner of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and North Avenue, it is the current northern terminus of the line.
Kamuning station is an elevated Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station situated on Line 3. The station is located at the barangay boundary of South Triangle and Pinyahan in the Scout Area of Diliman in Quezon City and is named after the nearby barangay of Kamuning and the road named after the barangay.
Guadalupe station is an elevated Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station situated on Line 3. It is located in Makati, Philippines and is named because of its location between the barangays of Guadalupe Nuevo and Guadalupe Viejo, both are in turn named after Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Roosevelt station is the current northern terminus of Line 1 of the Manila Light Rail Transit System and was constructed as part of the Line 1 North Extension Project. It opened on October 22, 2010. Roosevelt is one of the two Line 1 stations serving Quezon City, the other being Balintawak.
Commonwealth Avenue, formerly known as Don Mariano Marcos Avenue, is a 12.4-kilometer (7.7 mi) highway located in Quezon City, Philippines, which spans from six to eighteen lanes and is the widest in the Philippines. It is one of the major roads in Metro Manila and is designated as part of Radial Road 7 (R-7) of the older Manila arterial road system and National Route 170 (N170) of the Philippine highway network.

Taft Avenue is a major road in the south of Metro Manila. It passes through three cities in the metropolis: Manila, Pasay, and Parañaque. Radial Road 7 is a network of roads in Metro Manila, connecting the cities of Manila, Quezon City and Caloocan, as well as San Jose del Monte and the municipality of Norzagaray in the province of Bulacan. President Elpidio Quirino Avenue, more commonly known as Quirino Avenue, is a 6-10 lane divided highway in Manila, Philippines. It runs for 3.6 kilometers (2.2 mi) in a northeast–southwest direction from Nagtahan Bridge across from Santa Mesa in the north to Roxas Boulevard in Malate in the south. It passes through Paco and Pandacan districts where it also serves as a truck route between Port Area and South Luzon Expressway. North of Nagtahan Bridge, the road continues as Nagtahan Street. It is designated as part of Circumferential Road 2.

When completed, the line will be 22.8 kilometers long, with 14 stations, and the first line to have a third rail electrification. The line runs in a northeast–southwest direction, beginning at San Jose del Monte, Bulacan up to the North Triangle Common Station in North Avenue, Quezon City.
Tandang Sora Avenue, formerly known as Banlat Road, is a major east-west thoroughfare bisecting Quezon City in Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is a two-to-six lane highway and municipal road that runs for 9.6 kilometers (6.0 mi) from its eastern terminus at Magsaysay Avenue in Pansol and U.P. Campus in Diliman to its western terminus at Quirino Highway in Baesa and Talipapa in Novaliches, crossing Barangays Culiat, New Era, Pasong Tamo, Tandang Sora, and Sangandaan.
National Route 170 (N170) is a national secondary road of the Philippine highway network. It passes through the northern part of Metro Manila, traversing through the cities of Quezon City, Manila, and Pasay.
