Rail transportation in the Philippines is currently used mostly to transport passengers within Metro Manila and provinces of Laguna and Quezon, as well as a commuter service in the Bicol Region. Freight transport services once operated in the country, but these services were halted. However, there are plans to restore old freight services and build new lines. From a peak of 1,100 kilometers (680 mi), the country currently has a railway footprint of 533.14 kilometers (331.28 mi), of which only 129.85 kilometers (80.69 mi) are operational as of 2023, including all the urban rail lines. World War II, natural calamities, underspending, and neglect have all contributed to the decline of the Philippine railway network. In the 2019 Global Competitiveness Report, the Philippines has the lowest efficiency score among other Asian countries in terms of efficiency of train services, receiving a score of 2.4, and ranking 86th out of 101 countries globally. The government is currently expanding the railway network up to 1,900 kilometers (1,200 mi) by 2022 through numerous projects.
Blumentritt station is an elevated Light Rail Transit (LRT) station located on the LRT Line 1 (LRT-1) system in Manila. The station serves the districts of Tondo, Santa Cruz, and Sampaloc. The station itself is situated near Blumentritt Road, which the station was named after. The street itself is named to honor Bohemian professor Ferdinand Blumentritt, one of José Rizal's closest associates and a sympathizer of the Propaganda Movement.
Doroteo Jose station is an elevated Light Rail Transit (LRT) station located on the LRT Line 1 (LRT-1) system in Santa Cruz, Manila. The station is situated on Rizal Avenue and slightly past Doroteo Jose Street. Both the station and the street are named after Doroteo Jose, a Filipino who was arrested by Spanish authorities in 1898 for leading a movement against a corrupt archbishop.
EDSA station is an elevated Light Rail Transit (LRT) station located on the LRT Line 1 (LRT-1) system in Pasay. The station is situated on the intersection of Taft Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, better known as EDSA, one of Metro Manila's major thoroughfares. The station was named after EDSA, which in turn is named after Epifanio de los Santos, a noted historian.
Vito Cruz station is an elevated Light Rail Transit (LRT) station located on the LRT Line 1 (LRT-1) system in Malate, Manila. It is the first station from Baclaran and the last station from Fernando Poe Jr. to lie within Manila city bounds. The station takes its name from the former Vito Cruz Street, which was named after a former alcalde mayor of Pineda c. 1871.
Katipunan station is an underground Light Rail Transit (LRT) station located on the LRT Line 2 (LRT-2) system in Loyola Heights, Quezon City. It is the only underground station in the entire line. The station is named because of its location on Katipunan Avenue, one of Quezon City's main thoroughfares. The avenue is in turn named after the Katipunan revolutionary society.
V. Mapa station is an elevated Light Rail Transit (LRT) station located on the LRT Line 2 (LRT-2) system in Sampaloc, Manila. It is one of the four stations in the line with a reserve track nearby together with Santolan, Anonas and Araneta Center–Cubao. The station during its inception was formerly called as G. Araneta station but was renamed into the current name due to the minor realignment of some stations that has caused the change of proximity to the V. Mapa Street. The station serves the areas of Santa Mesa, Manila, Quezon City, and San Juan. The station is situated at Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, near its intersection with Victorino Mapa Street in Santa Mesa, Manila.

Taft Avenue station is the southern terminus of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) system located in Pasay. It is situated at the intersection of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), one of Metro Manila's major thoroughfares, and Taft Avenue usually referred to as Pasay Rotonda or EDSA-Taft. The station is named after Taft Avenue, which is in turn named after former U.S. President and U.S. Chief Justice William Howard Taft, who served as Governor-General of the Philippines from 1901 to 1903.
Ortigas station is an elevated Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station located on the MRT Line 3 (MRT-3) system in the Mandaluyong portion of Ortigas Center. The station is named after either Ortigas Center or Ortigas Avenue, which is nearby.
Fernando Poe Jr. station is the current northern terminus of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) system. It opened on October 22, 2010 as part of the LRT-1 North Extension Project, as Roosevelt and was renamed to its current name on August 20, 2023, almost two years after the namesake avenue was officially renamed after the Filipino actor.
Santolan–Annapolis station is an elevated Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station located on the MRT Line 3 (MRT-3) system in Quezon City. It is the ninth station for trains headed to North Avenue and the fifth station for trains headed to Taft Avenue. The station is named after the streets it is situated in between Santolan Road and Annapolis Street, and near the eastern San Juan-Quezon City boundary.

Gilmore Avenue, formerly known as Gilmore Street, is a two-lane, one-way road in Quezon City, Metro Manila, the Philippines. It runs one-way from Eulogio Rodriguez Sr. Avenue in New Manila and terminates at Nicanor Domingo Street in Valencia, continuing on as the two-way Granada Street until it reaches the city border with San Juan, where it becomes Ortigas Avenue.
The Metro Rail Transit Line 4 (MRT-4) is an upcoming rapid transit line serving the Greater Manila Area of the Philippines. The 12.7 km (7.9 mi), 10-station elevated railway will connect Ortigas Center in Metro Manila and the suburban municipality of Taytay, Rizal. It will traverse along Ortigas Avenue and Manila East Road, starting at the former's junction with EDSA in Quezon City to the west until it terminates near the New Taytay Public Market to the east.
