Stevanus Rumbewas Airport( IATA : ZRI, ICAO : WABO) (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Stevanus Rumbewas) is an airport serving the town of Serui and the nearby towns and islands in the Yapen Islands Regency, Papua, Indonesia. The airport commenced operation on 19 December 2014, replacing the old Sudjarwo Tjondronegoro Airport which has been closed due to the lack of land for expansion to cope with the increasing passenger demands. [1] The airport is named after Stevanus Rumbewas, a former Indonesian Navy officer who originated from Serui, [2] and member of Indonesian Irian Independence Party (PKII). [3]
The airport resides at an elevation of 6 metres (20 ft) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 10/28 with an asphalt surface measuring 1,600 m x 30 m (5,249 ft × 98 ft). Furthermore, the airport has an apron with a size of 120 m x 55 m (39 ft × 180 ft) which can accommodate a maximum of 1 ATR 42 aircraft and 1 DHC-6 Twin Otter type aircraft. In addition, it has a terminal building covering an area of 600 square meters.

The Talaud Islands Regency is a regency of North Sulawesi province, Indonesia. The Talaud Islands form an archipelago situated to the northeast of the Minahasa Peninsula, with a land area of 1,251.02 km2. Utarom Airport or Kaimana Airport is an airport serving Kaimana, located in the province of West Papua in Indonesia. Due to increasing passengers, the airport was heavily modernized. The airport development is done in several stages, which begin in 2012, followed in 2014, and was completed at the end of 2015. Currently, Utarom Airport has a modern passenger terminal design like that of Wamena Airport. Airport capacity also increased to be able to accommodate 102 passengers during peak hours. The passenger terminal is made more comfortable in order to improve service to passengers In total, the construction of a passenger terminal covering an area of 1,800 square meters costs around Rp 75.5 billion. The development of the airport was completed at the end of 2015 and was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on 30 December 2016.
Karel Sadsuitubun Airport is an airport located in Kai Islands, Southeast Maluku Regency, Maluku, Indonesia, replacing the old Dumatubin Airport which is now used only by the Indonesian Air Force. It serves both the city of Tual and the Langgur. The airport is named in honor of Karel Satsuit Tubun (1928–1965), who is a National Hero of Indonesia. The airport serves as the point of entry to Kai Islands, which contains many tourist spot such as untouched beaches which contain crystal clear water. Construction of the airport started in 2006 and after extensive delay, it was completed in 2013. The airport was inaugurated by former Minister of Transportation, Ignasius Jonan on Friday 19 December 2014. The inauguration was held simultaneously, in conjunction with the inauguration of 20 ports and 10 airports across Indonesia. The airport began operation on Monday, 24 February 2014, characterized by first landing aircraft of the airline Trigana Air.
Mathilda Batlayeri Airport is an airport located in Amfutu, Tumbur Village, Wertamrian district, Tanimbar Islands Regency, Maluku, Indonesia. The airport replaced the old Olilit Airport to the south, which has fallen into disuse. The airport is named after Mathilda Batlayeri, a heroine originating from Tanimbar Islands who died at South Kalimantan in 1953 while fighting the Darul Islam rebel movement. Construction of the airport started in 2005. The airport began operation on 9 May 2014 after years of delay of construction of the airport. The airport currently can only accommodate airplanes up to the ATR-72, since the runway currently only has a length of 1.850 m. However, the government is planning to extend the runway to 2,500 m in 2019. The runway would also be widened to 45 m from the current 30 m <. This would allow the airport to accommodate larger aircraft such as the Boeing 737, Fokker 100 and the Airbus A320.
The Indonesian Irian Independence Party was a pro-Indonesian party in the Netherlands New Guinea. The party was established in 1946 by several pro-Indonesian students as a way to support the integration of Papua into the territory of Indonesia. The party's leader, Silas Papare was awarded as the National Hero of Indonesia posthumously on 14 September 1993.

It was formally established on 11 November 2022 from the former eight western regencies of the province of Papua. It covers an area of 61,072.92 km2 and had an officially estimated population of 1,430,951 in mid 2022. It is bordered by the Indonesian provinces of West Papua to the west, the residual province of Papua to the north and northeast, by Highland Papua to the east. and by South Papua to the southeast. The administrative capital is located in Wanggar District in Nabire Regency, although Timika is a larger town.
