West Kalimantan is a province of Indonesia. It is one of five Indonesian provinces comprising Kalimantan, the Indonesian part of the island of Borneo. Its capital and largest city is Pontianak. It is bordered by East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan to the east, the Malaysian state of Sarawak to the north, and the Bangka Belitung Islands to the west and the Java Sea to the south. The province has an area of 147,037 km2, and had a population of 4,395,983 at the 2010 Census and 5,414,390 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 5,623,328, and was projected to rise to 5,695,500 at mid 2024. Ethnic groups include the Dayak, Malay, Chinese, Javanese, Bugis, and Madurese. The borders of West Kalimantan roughly trace the mountain ranges surrounding the vast watershed of the Kapuas River, which drains most of the province. The province shares land borders with Central Kalimantan to the southeast, East Kalimantan to the east, and the Malaysian territory of Sarawak to the north.
Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, abbreviated SHIA or Soetta, formerly legally called Jakarta Cengkareng Airport, is the primary airport serving the Jakarta metropolitan area on the island of Java in Indonesia. Named after the first president and vice-president of Indonesia, Sukarno (1901–1970) and Mohammad Hatta (1902–1980), the airport is located at Benda, Tangerang and Cengkareng, West Jakarta, which is about 20 km northwest of Central Jakarta. Together with Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, they served over 80 million passengers in 2019.
Adisumarmo Airport is a domestic airport in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. It is located 14 km north of Downtown Surakarta. It is the main airport of Boyolali and Surakarta and the surrounding area, also known as Greater Solo. The airport also serves as an alternative airport to Adisutjipto Airport in Yogyakarta during a disaster, such as during the 2006 Yogyakarta earthquake and the 2010 Mount Merapi eruption.
Kapuas Hulu Regency is a regency in West Kalimantan province of Indonesia. Located around the upper drainage area of the Kapuas River, it has a total land area of 31,318.25 square kilometres or around 21.3% of West Kalimantan province's area. The regency seat is located in town of Putussibau, where most of its economic and government activities take place. Kapuas Hulu Regency is one of the few Indonesian regencies having a land border with another country. It is also the largest regency in the province by land area. Due to its relatively large area, it is sparsely populated compared to neighbouring regencies around it. The regency had a population of 222,160 at the 2010 Census and 252,609 according to the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 262,404.
Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport is an airport serving the city of Semarang, in Central Java, Indonesia. The airport is named in honor of Ahmad Yani (1922–1965), who is a National Hero of Indonesia. As of 2018, it was one of the fastest-growing airports in the world by growth percentage. The airport is operated by PT Angkasa Pura I, a state enterprise of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation that manages airports in the eastern part of the country.
Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport (IATA: BTJ, ICAO: WITT) also called Banda Aceh Airport (Bandar Udara Banda Aceh), is an airport located 13.5 km (1.35×1013 nm; 8.4 mi) southeast of the capital of Aceh province, Banda Aceh. It is named after the twelfth sultan of Aceh, Iskandar Muda (1583–1636). This airport was formerly called Blangbintang Airport (Bandara Blangbintang), referred to its location in a district with same name. This airport is listed as the 23rd busiest airport in Indonesia.
Supadio Airport, formerly known as Sei Durian Airport or Sungai Durian Airport, is a domestic airport serving Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. It is located 17 kilometres (11 mi) from Downtown Pontianak. The airport is managed by PT. Angkasa Pura II, and takes up 528 ha. The airport serves as the main point of entry to West Kalimantan. The airport serves domestic routes only as of mid-2023. The airport was named the best airport in Asia-Pacific in 2020 by Airports Council International.
Pangsuma Airport is an airport in Putussibau, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The distance between the Airport and Putussibau is 3.7 km via Jl. Lintas Kalimantan Poros Utara. Putussibau is the capital of Kapuas Hulu within approximately 400 km from Pontianak. The town is the gateway to the two major eco-tourism destinations in the heart of Borneo, Danau Sentarum National Park and Betung Kerihun National Park.
Sintang Airport, also known as Susilo Airport, was an airport serving Sintang, the principal town of the Sintang Regency in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The airport's function has been replaced by Tebelian Airport since April 26, 2018.

Sanggau Regency is a regency in the north-central section of West Kalimantan province of Indonesia. On 18 December 2003, the regency's eastern portion was split off to create a new regency called Sekadau, leaving Sanggau with an area of 12,857.7 km2 (5,000 sq mi). As of the 2020 census, Sanggau Regency had a population of 484,836; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 503,937. Alongside the Landak, Sekadau, and Sintang regencies, it is one of four West Kalimantan regencies with a predominantly Catholic populations.

It covers an area of 6,275.39 km2, and had a population of 181,634 at the 2010 Census and 211,559 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 219,724. The regency seat lies at the town of Sekadau in Sekadau Hilir District.

Karel Sadsuitubun Airport is located in Kai Islands, Southeast Maluku Regency, Maluku, Indonesia. It has replaced the old Dumatubin Airport which is now used only by the Indonesian Air Force. It serves both the city of Tual and the Langgur. The airport is named after Karel Satsuit Tubun (1928–1965), who is a National Hero of Indonesia. The airport serves as the point of entry to Kai Islands, which contains many tourist spots such as unspoiled beaches. Construction of the airport started in 2006 and after extensive delay, it was completed in 2013. The airport was inaugurated by former Minister of Transportation, Ignasius Jonan on Friday 19 December 2014. The inauguration was held simultaneously, in conjunction with the inauguration of 20 ports and 10 airports across Indonesia. The airport began operation on Monday, 24 February 2014, characterized by first landing aircraft of the airline Trigana Air.
Dhoho Airport is an airport that serves Kediri, situated approximately 120 kilometers southwest of Surabaya, and alongside Kediri also serves the Blitar and Nganjuk regencies of East Java, Indonesia. The goal of developing the airport was to boost economic growth in the southern parts of East Java, as well as to supplement the operations of Juanda International Airport in Surabaya and Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport in Malang.
Singkawang Airport is an airport serving the Singbebas area in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. It is located at Pangmilang Subdistrict, South Singkawang District, 13 km (8.1 mi) south from the city centre. It will also become an alternative to the existing Supadio Airport at Pontianak.
