Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation is a civic body that governs Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, India. The corporation consists of 60 wards each represented by a councilor. The Mayor elected by the council is the leader of the civic body.
Tiruppur was formed as a small union and on 1 December 1947, it became a town with the inclusion of Mannarai, Thennamapalayam, Karuvampalayam,N.Pudhupalayam and Valipalayam villages. [3] On 26 October 2008 it became a Municipal Corporation.

Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) is a local government for the City of Chennai in the Chennai Metropolitan Area of Tamil Nadu, India. Leicester City Council is a unitary authority responsible for local government in the city of Leicester, England. It consists of 54 councillors, representing 22 wards in the city, overseen by a directly elected mayor. It is currently controlled by the Labour Party and has been led by mayor Sir Peter Soulsby since 2011. It is in charge of the civic needs and infrastructure of the metropolis, which is spread over an area of 484.61 sq. km. and has 3.4 million residents. Established on 15 February 1950, the executive power of the PMC is vested in the Municipal Commissioner, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer appointed by the Government of Maharashtra. The position is held by Vikram Kumar, IAS.The general body of the PMC consists of 162 directly elected councilors, popularly known as "corporators", headed by a mayor. Murlidhar Mohol (BJP) was elected as the mayor and Sunita Wadekar as the deputy mayor by the newly elected in April 2021. The land for Pune Municipal Corporation was donated by Late Hon. Shri. Bhausaheb Shirole (Patil) who was second Mayor of Pune city and later became an MLC. The Pune Municipal Corporation has launched an e-Governance initiative, with the goal of leveraging Information Technology to mobilize Government resources and optimize their utilization in order to provide a superior level of service.

The executive power of the PCMC is vested in the Municipal Commissioner, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer appointed by the Government of Maharashtra. The position is held by Shekhar Singh (IAS) during the pandemic in late December 2020. The general body of the PCMC consists of 128 directly elected councilors, popularly known as "corporators", headed by a mayor. Rahul Jadhav (BJP) was elected as the mayor and Sachin Chinchwade (BJP) as the deputy mayor in August 2018. The PCMC headquarters is situated on the Old Pune Mumbai Highway alongside the freeway in the city of Pune.
Corporation of Madurai is the civic body which administers the city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, India. Madurai is one of the oldest living cities in the world. Formed on 1 May 1971 as the first Municipal Corporation in Tamil Nadu post independence, it is the third largest municipal corporation in Tamil Nadu in population and revenue. It is also the third largest in Tamil Nadu by area after Greater Chennai Corporation, Coimbatore Municipal Corporation, Tirunelveli Municipal Corporation, Tiruchirappalli Municipal Corporation, and Tiruppur Municipal Corporation. The annual budget of Madurai Corporation for 2021–22 is Rs.437 crores. It consists of a Council and an Executive wings. The council is headed by the Mayor while the Executive wing is headed by the Commissioner. It consists of 100 wards organised into five zones, viz East, North, Central, South and West.
The Thrissur Municipal Corporation is the civic body that governs the Thrissur city in Kerala, India. It is the third largest city Corporation in the state of Kerala by area and fourth largest in population. Established as a Municipality since 1921 under the Cochin Municipal Regulations, it is responsible for civic infrastructure and administration; the distribution of electricity and water for Thrissur city. The Corporation manages 101.42 km of Thrissur city limits of through 55 wards through five zones Ayyanthole, Vilvattom, Ollukkara, Ollur and Koorkanchery. Thrissur Municipal Corporation has been formed with functions to improve the infrastructure of town.

Municipal Corporation of the City of Hubballi-Dharward or Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) is the Municipal Corporation responsible for the civic infrastructure and administration of the twin cities of Hubballi and Dharwad, located in North Western part of Karnataka state in India. The organization is known, in short, as HDMC. This civic administrative body administers an area of 213 km2. HDMC consists of 82 elected members from four Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Hubballi-Dharwad. Presently the Council is under suspended animation pending election of new members. There has been a huge demand by people of Dharwad to create a separate civic body and get itself detached by HDMC. Claims are that most of the funds are allocated to Hubballi solely.
