The 2022 TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was an endurance sports car racing event held at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Stavelot, Belgium on 7 May 2022. It was the second round of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship, and was the eleventh running of the event as part of the championship.
The provisional calendar for the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship released in August 2021. It saw a few changes, with the return of the Sebring and Fuji races, whilst the Portimao and second Bahrain races were dropped. [1]
The entry list was revealed on 25 March 2022.

The race was stopped thrice during the course of the event with red flags. The first stoppage was after the crash of the #44 ARC Bratislava entry, which required repairs to the barriers. The second stoppage was for a long period of heavy rain showering the circuit and the last stoppage was after the crash of the #34 Inter Europol Competition entry.

Alessandro Pier Guidi is a racing driver from Italy. A Ferrari factory driver since 2017, he won the LMGTE Pro FIA World Endurance Championship in 2017, 2021 and 2022, the 2019 and 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMGTE Pro class, and claimed the 24 Hours of Spa in 2021, as well as taking an overall win at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans along with James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.
William Jonathan Richard Stevens is a British racing driver, who formerly competed in Formula One, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, Toyota Racing Series and the British Formula Renault Championships. In Formula One, he made his debut at the 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with Caterham F1, replacing Marcus Ericsson for the double points race. During the 2015 season he competed with the Manor Marussia F1 Team.
Matthieu Vaxivière is a French racing driver from Limoges, who currently drives for Alpine in the Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Mikkel Jensen is a Danish racing driver. He is a Peugeot Sport factory driver currently competing in the World Endurance Championship, having previously been a factory driver for BMW.
Ahmet Salih Yoluç is a Turkish racing driver. As a bronze-ranked competitor, Yoluç has taken notable accolades in sportscar racing, including the 2020 LMGTE Am class victory at Le Mans, the Pro-Am title in the 2019 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, as well as the 2022 European Le Mans Series and 2023 Asian Le Mans Series championships in the LMP2 category.

Fabio Luca Scherer is a racing driver from Switzerland, currently competing in the endurance racing, representing United Autosports in the European Le Mans Series.
Nicklas Ganshorn Nielsen is a Danish racing driver who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Ferrari AF Corse, driving a Ferrari 499P in the Hypercar class. He won the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans together with Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina, becoming the third Dane to win the contest.

The event was originally scheduled to be held on 25 April, but was postponed on 16 March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Spa-Francorchamps served as the sixth race of the 2019–20 FIA World Endurance Championship, and was the ninth running of the event as part of the championship. The race was won by the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid.
Julien Andlauer is a racing driver from France. He is a Porsche contracted driver who competes in a range of championships having won both French and German Carrera Cup Championships. Andlauer currently competes for Proton Competition in the Hypercar class of the WEC.

The 2022 1000 Miles of Sebring was an endurance sportscar racing event held on the 18 March 2022, as the opening round of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship. This was the second running of the race, a 268-lap event or 8 hours, and the first time the event had been held since the 2019 1000 Miles of Sebring, after due to the 2020 and 2021 races being cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was the fourth round of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship is the final race before the summer break, and was the second running of the event as part of the championship.
Lilou Wadoux-Ducellier is a French professional racing driver who currently races for PONOS Racing in the GT300 class of the Super GT Series and for AF Corse in the LMP2 class of the IMSA SportsCar Championship. She is the first woman to ever win an FIA World Endurance Championship race and the first woman to drive a Le Mans Hypercar, having previously starred in the Alpine Elf Europa Cup and competed in TCR Europe. Before signing for Ferrari as a factory driver in 2023, she raced in the WEC for Richard Mille's Signatech-run LMP2 team.
