Previous season

During the 2024 season, Army posted the best record, going undefeated in conference, while Tulane finished with the second-best record. In the Conference Championship Game, Army defeated Tulane by a score of 35–14. Army advanced to play in the Independence Bowl. They were originally slated to play against Sun Belt Conference champions Marshall, but after Marshall withdrew due to an exodus of players to the transfer portal, Army instead played against Louisiana Tech, whom they defeated by a score of 27–6.
