Bayles Shipyard is a historic shipyard located at Port Jefferson in Suffolk County, New York. It includes the 1897 Bayles Chandlery, the 1917 Machine Shop and Mould Loft and the 1917 Compressor House. [2] The vicinity also contained a Mobil Oil Terminal.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. [1] The machine shop and mould loft is currently used as the Port Jefferson Village Center. The former Mobil Oil terminal was converted into the Jeanne Garant Harborfront Park in 2004.

Matton Shipyard United States historic place

Matton Shipyard is a historic shipyard and canal boat service yard located on Van Schaick Island at Cohoes in Albany County, New York. It consists of eight extant buildings, various surviving features, and archaeological remains dating to the period 1916 to 1983 when the site functioned as a shipyard, repair facility, and towboat operation on the New York State Barge Canal and Champlain Canal. Extant buildings include the office / stores, watchman's building, sheet metal shop, carpenter shop, stores building, pipeshop, pitch building (pre-1936), garage, and electric building. The Atlantic Heights Development is a historic company-built worker subdivision in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Bounded by I-95, the Piscataqua River, and the tracks of the Boston and Maine Railroad, this small neighborhood was built in 1918-20 to meet housing demand for workers at the Atlantic Company Shipyard, located just to the south, and served as a prototype for later residential subdivisions. Milford Shipyard Area Historic District is a national historic district located at Milford, Sussex County, Delaware. The district includes 18 contributing buildings, including the original Vinyard Shipyard and surrounding workers' houses. The shipyard buildings are the combination office and warehouse, mold/sail loft, boat house (1929), and machine shop. The remaining buildings are primarily one and two-story, frame, center hall plan dwellings built about 1870.
