Bristol House is a historic home located at Lima in Livingston County, New York. It was built between 1870 and 1875 and is a two-story, three bay wide by two bay deep, Italianate style frame dwelling. The front facade is dominated by the elaborate canopy above the slightly recessed, paneled wooden doors of the side hall entrance. [2]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. [1]

The three-story wood-frame house is one of the oldest buildings in Bristol and the oldest known three-story building in Rhode Island. It exhibits distinctive, well-preserved First Period features not found in other houses, despite an extensive history of adaptive alterations. It is further significant for its use by the Marquis de Lafayette as headquarters during the American Revolutionary War. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1983.

Benjamin Church House is a Colonial Revival house at 1014 Hope Street in Bristol, Rhode Island, U.S.A. It opened in 1909 as the "Benjamin Church Home for Aged Men" as stipulated by Benjamin Church's will. Beginning in 1934, during the Great Depression, it admitted women. The house was closed in 1968 and became a National Register of Historic Places listing in 1971. The non-profit Benjamin Church Senior Center was incorporated in June 1972 and opened on September 1, 1972. It continues to operate as a senior center.

Wayside Cottage United States historic place

Wayside Cottage is a historic home located at Scarsdale, Westchester County, New York. The earliest part of the house was built about 1720 and is the four-bay-wide, two-bay-deep, ​1 12-story south section. It sits on a fieldstone foundation and has a gable roof and verandah with Doric order piers. The center section of the house was built in 1828 and it is a ​2 12-story, three-bay-wide structure with a gable roof and sheathed in clapboard. A third section is known as the "caretaker's quarters" and was built in the late 19th century. It is two stories high, three bays wide, and two bays deep. A wing was added to this section in 1928. The house underwent a major restoration in 1953–1954. Since 1919, it has been owned by the Junior League of Central Westchester. It was also where Scarsdale Public Library used to be.

J. Kurtz and Sons Store Building United States historic place

J. Kurtz and Sons Store Building is a historic commercial building located in the Jamaica section of the New York City borough of Queens. It was built in 1931 and is a six-story, steel-frame building with two decorated sides in the Art Deco style. It is three bays by six bays and features a metal-framed windows with stepped pylon motif rising through all four floors. They are of cast aluminum with geometric designs. It was built to house a franchise of the J. Kurtz and Sons furniture store, founded by Jacob Kurtz in 1870.

Soundview Manor United States historic place

Soundview Manor is a historic home located on four acres in White Plains, Westchester County, New York. Built in 1920 by landowner Robert B. Dula, and is a stuccoed, frame building in the Classical Revival style. It is "L"-shaped and has a three-story, three-bay central section flanked by two-story, one-bay blocks on each side. The house has flat roofs, with prominent balustrades. The flat roofed front porch is supported by Tuscan order columns.

<i>Libbys No. 23</i> United States historic place

Libby's No. 23 is a historic sail-powered fishing vessel, now on display at the Lake Clark National Park and Preserve visitors center in Port Alsworth, Alaska. Built in 1914, she served in the salmon fishery of Bristol Bay until about 1951, owned by the Libby's cannery and worked by two-man crews. She is 29 feet 6 inches (8.99 m) long, with a beam of 9 feet 2 inches (2.79 m) and a depth of 4 feet (1.2 m). Its bow and stern are roughly the same shape, giving the style its name. Despite its use for freight and recreation between 1953 and 1997, the boat has retained much of its original equipment, and was fully restored by the National Park Service between 1998 and 2005, acquiring replacement parts from similar boats and removing an added motor. It is normally rigged with a mainsail and spritsail, but these are only raised when the boat is taken out of its custom-built boathouse.

Townsend G. Treadway House United States historic place

The Townsend G. Treadway House is a historic house at 100 Oakland Street in Bristol, Connecticut. Built in 1915, it is one of the city's largest and finest examples of Colonial Revival architecture, designed by a major New York architectural firm. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
