North Tonawanda is a city in Niagara County, New York, United States. The population was 31,568 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is named after Tonawanda Creek, its south border.

The Neo-Classical building, located adjacent to Oxnard's Plaza Park, opened in 1907 as the Oxnard Public Library and was converted into an art museum in 1986. In July 1971, it became the first building in Ventura County and the first Carnegie library in California to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Kibler High School is a historic high school building located at the city of Tonawanda in Erie County, New York. It was designed by the Buffalo architectural firm of Edward B. Green, & Sons and constructed from 1925 to 1927 in the Classical Revival style. The exterior features a rusticated ground floor, central entrance pavilion with pilasters and pediment, an elaborately decorated cupola, and red tile hip roofs. The school was named for the president of the Tonawanda Board of Education in 1924, William J. Kibler. The building functioned as a school until 1983. The building was renovated as senior housing in the mid-2000s.
US Post Office-Tonawanda is a historic post office building located at Tonawanda in Erie County, New York, United States. It was designed and built 1939–1940, and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department under Louis A. Simon. The building is in the Colonial Revival style and features a central pavilion crowned by a cupola and flanked by end pavilions with gable roofs. The interior once featured a mural by Symeon Shimin, but it was removed and has disappeared. An addition to the north was added in 1964.
The Tonawanda Armory is a historic armory originally built for the 25th Separate Company of the New York National Guard, and located in the city of Tonawanda in Erie County, New York. It is a brick and stone castle-like structure built in 1897, designed to be reminiscent of medieval military structures in Europe. It was designed by State architect of New York Isaac G. Perry.
US Post Office—North Tonawanda is a historic post office building located at North Tonawanda in Niagara County, New York. It was designed and built 1912–1914, and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Oscar Wenderoth. The two story building is in the Classical Revival style and features a colossal central portico with two pairs of coupled columns resting on granite pedestals and an elegant domed cupola.
Herschell Carousel Factory Museum is a historic carousel factory building located at North Tonawanda in Niagara County, New York. The factory complex was constructed between about 1910 and 1915 and consists of six primary structures and five contributory additions. The primary structures are: the Mill Building, Carving and Pattern shop, Paint Shop and Storage Building, Roundhouse, Machine Shop (1915), and Assembly and Testing Building (1915). Also on the property is the Number One Special Three Abreast portable carousel, built in 1916.
Canastota Public Library is a historic Carnegie library building located at Canastota in Madison County, New York. It was designed and built in 1902, with funds provided by the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. It is one of 2,509 such libraries constructed between 1885 and 1919, and one of 107 in New York State. Carnegie provided $10,000 toward the construction of the Canastota library. It is a two-story building on a raised, rusticated stone and brick foundation in the Classical Revival style.
Dick Block is a historic commercial building located at North Tonawanda in Niagara County, New York. It was built in 1891 and is a three-story, three bay, red brick building in the Romanesque Revival style. It features rounded windows and arches, rusticated stone detailing, and ornamental brickwork. The first floor storefronts were modernized about 1946, when the building was occupied by the Witkop and Holmes Company furniture store.
Tonawanda Municipal Building is a historic municipal building located at Kenmore in Erie County, New York. It was designed by the noted Buffalo architecture firm Green and James and built in 1936 with funds provide by the Works Progress Administration. It is a two-story, steel frame and brick building clad in limestone with Art Deco design elements. The building serves as home to both the Village of Kenmore and Town of Tonawanda governments.
Hamburg Public Library is located in Hamburg, Iowa, United States. The Carnegie Corporation of New York accepted Hamburg's application for a grant for $9,000 on December 3, 1915. It was dedicated on June 9, 1919. The Georgian Revival style building is five bays wide with its main entrance in the center bay. The single-story brick structure follows a simple rectangular plan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
The old Spencer Public Library is a former public library and historic Carnegie library located at Spencer, Owen County, Indiana. It was built in 1912, and is a one-story, three bay, American Craftsman style brick building on a raised basement. It has a low-pitched hipped roof and projecting entry bay. It was constructed with a $10,000 grant provided by the Carnegie Foundation.
The Vinton Public Library is located in Vinton, Iowa, United States. The community applied to the Carnegie Corporation of New York for a grant to build a public library, and on January 22, 1903 they were awarded $12,500. It was one of 22 public libraries in Iowa that were built with Carnegie grants that year, the most in the history of the program for both the state and the country. The Chicago architectural firm of Patton & Miller designed the Renaissance Revival building. It features a full parapet, hipped roof with a deck, and a Flemish gable. It was dedicated on August 25, 1904, and it has subsequently been expanded. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
Old North Manchester Public Library is a historic Carnegie library building located at North Manchester, Wabash County, Indiana. It was built in 1912, and is a two-story, rectangular, American Craftsman style dark red brick building over a basement. It has a low-pitched side gable roof of red Spanish tile and wide overhanging eaves. The building corners feature massive piers with sloping sides. It was built in part with a $10,000 donation from the Carnegie Foundation.
Hawthorne Branch Library No. 2, also known as Hawthorne Education Annex, is a historic Carnegie library building located in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Built in 1909–1911, with funds provided by the Carnegie Foundation, it is a one-story, rectangular, Classical Revival style brick and limestone building on a raised basement. It has a truncated hipped roof and features a slightly projecting pavilion housing a round arch. It was renovated in 1955, after its closure as a library, and again in 1999.
