Mount Auburn Cemetery is the first rural, or garden, cemetery in the United States, located on the line between Cambridge and Watertown in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Boston. It is the burial site of many prominent Boston Brahmins, as well as being a National Historic Landmark.
New Utrecht Reformed Church is the fourth oldest Reformed Church in America congregation and is located in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York. The church was established in 1677 by ethnic Dutch residents in the town of New Utrecht, Brooklyn, several years after the English took over New Netherland. It is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, a Protestant denomination. The cemetery was consecrated in 1654; 1300 dead are interred there. The Liberty Pole, the sixth on the site of the present church, was originally erected in 1783 at the end of the Revolutionary War to harass departing British troops.

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located at 2067 Fifth Avenue at 127th Street in the neighborhood of Harlem in Manhattan, New York City. Built in 1872, it was designed by noted New York City architect Henry M. Congdon (1834–1922) in the Gothic Revival style. It features a 125 foot tall clock tower surmounted by a slate covered spire surrounded by four towerlets.
St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church Complex is a historic Roman Catholic church complex located at Bloomfield in Ontario County, New York. The complex consists of three contributing buildings and one contributing site, the church cemetery. the church is a late Victorian eclectic brick edifice with restrained Italianate and Romanesque Revival–style design and decorative features. It features a square, wood bell tower. The rectory is a 2+1⁄2-story Colonial Revival–style frame building and features a verandah with Doric order columns. A 1+1⁄2-story carriage barn stands behind the rectory. The six-acre cemetery includes burials dating from 1866 to 1942.
First Baptist Church of Painted Post is a historic Baptist church located at Painted Post in Steuben County, New York. The church was originally built in 1860 and expanded and remodeled in 1915 after a fire destroyed the mid-19th century building's tower and spire. The three-part church consists of the main block—a 40-foot-wide (12 m), 60-foot-deep (18 m), gable-roofed edifice built in 1860 and now containing the sanctuary; the front wing—a 40-foot-wide (12 m), 12-foot-deep (3.7 m) addition built in 1915 and now containing the foyer and narthex; and a noncontributing rear addition. The front wing features two massive square corner towers surmounted by louvered bell towers and bell curved roofs.
Asbury United Methodist Church and Bethel Chapel and Cemetery is a national historic district containing a Methodist church, chapel, and cemetery at 19 Old Post Road in Croton-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York. The church was built in 1883 and is a rectangular brick building with a multi-colored slate-covered gable roof in the Gothic Revival style. It features large Gothic-arched stained and leaded glass windows added in 1891 and a square, engaged, two stage tower. The chapel was built about 1790 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, two-by-two-bay, clapboard-sided building on a granite foundation. Francis Asbury (1745–1816) is known to have visited the chapel on September 20, 1795. The cemetery is in two sections and contains about 5,000 graves; the date of the earliest burial is 1801. It includes the grave of noted playwright and author Lorraine Hansberry (1930–1965).

Flatlands Dutch Reformed Church, also known as Flatlands Reformed Church, is a historic Dutch Reformed church at Kings Highway and East 40th Street in the Flatlands neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The complex consists of the church, administration building, and cemetery. The congregation was founded in 1654. The church was built in 1848 in the Greek Revival style. The Greek Revival administration building was constructed in 1904; it was enlarged in the 1920s. The cemetery contains about 1,500 burials dating to 1660.
New Lots Reformed Church and Cemetery is a historic Dutch Reformed church and cemetery at 630 New Lots Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn, New York. It was built in 1823–1824 and is a small, rectangular wood-frame building sheathed in clapboard. It has a pitched gable roof and sits on a rough stone foundation. Adjacent to the church is the cemetery divided into two sections. The older section dates to the 17th century and includes burials of Revolutionary War soldiers and slaves. The present cemetery was established in 1841.
Brick Chapel Church and Cemetery is a historic Presbyterian church and cemetery located at Canton in St. Lawrence County, New York. The church was built in 1858 for the local Methodist congregation, who merged with the Presbyterians in the 1910s. It is a 40 feet by 56 feet brick structure resting on a raised ashlar limestone foundation. It features a large, square engaged bell tower on the front facade. Also on the property is a cemetery with burials dating to 1809.
Woodbourne Reformed Church Complex is a historic Dutch Reformed church complex on NY 42 in Woodbourne, Sullivan County, New York. The complex consists of a church, chapel, and cemetery. The church was built in 1837 and enlarged in 1848. It is of heavy timber frame construction with clapboard siding. It started as a small frame meeting house, with a later 18 foot addition. The addition included the Greek Revival, temple form facade featuring Doric order columns and two stage bell tower with tall spire. The current tower dates to 1893. Also on the property is a chapel, built in 1849 as a public school and purchased by the church in 1891, and a cemetery.
Zion Episcopal Church Complex and Harmony Cemetery is a national historic district comprising a historic Episcopal church complex and cemetery located at Morris in Otsego County, New York. The complex consists of the church, rectory (1893), and parish house (1901). The church was built in 1818 and is a stone building in the early English Gothic Revival style. It features a steeply sloping gable roof and a central projecting bell tower with a belfry with a balustrade. The Harmony Cemetery has burials dating from about 1800 to 1937.

Makawao Union Church is a church near Makawao on the Hawaiian island of Maui. It was founded by New England missionary Jonathan Smith Green during the Kingdom of Hawaii. The third historic structure used by the congregation was designed by noted local architect C.W. Dickey and dedicated in 1917 as the Henry Perrine Baldwin Memorial Church. In 1985, Makawao Union Church was placed on the Hawaii and National Register of Historic Places.
Mammoth Cave Baptist Church and Cemetery is a historic church in Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. It was built in 1827 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
White Plains Rural Cemetery is a historic cemetery located in the city of White Plains, Westchester County, New York. The cemetery was organized in 1854 and designed in 1855. It contains miles of narrow, paved roads, none of which is in a straight line. The roads create circular and lozenge-shaped areas for burials. Also on the property is a former church, now cemetery office. It was built in 1797, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five-by-three-bay frame building with a high-pitched gable roof. It was modified for office use in 1881.
Douglaston Hill Historic District is a national historic district in Douglaston, Queens, New York. It includes 83 contributing buildings and two contributing sites. The buildings include Zion Episcopal Church (1830), houses and garages, and commercial buildings. The sites are Zion cemetery and public park. It was laid out with very large lots in 1853, at the very beginning of a movement in the United States to create suburban gardens. The buildings include a number of fine examples of late-19th- and early 20th-century architectural styles such as Queen Anne, Shingle Style, and Colonial Revival. The majority of the buildings date between 1890 and 1940.
The St. Mark Church in St. Marks, Kansas is a historic Roman Catholic church building. It was built in c.1903-1906 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
