Cornwall Brothers' Store is a historic commercial building located at Alexandria Bay in Jefferson County, New York. It was built in 1866 and is a massive 2- to 2 12-story, three-by-seven-bay, structure built of coursed rubble stone. It was originally built as a store, but since the 1930s has been used for a variety of federal purposes, including the Alexandria Bay Post Office, the U.S. Customs and Immigration offices, and U.S. Coast Guard offices. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. [1]

Tibbits House United States historic place

Tibbits House, also known as Tibbits Hall, is a historic home located at Hoosick in Rensselaer County, New York. The house was built about 1860 and ​1 12-story, rectangular Gothic Revival–style building. It is constructed of cut ashlar sandstone blocks and has steeply pitched gable roofs covered with fishscale slate. It features projecting porches, bay windows, changes of rooflines, dormers, chimneys, and two towers. The existing house on the property was originally owned by U.S. Congressman George Tibbits (1763–1849); his son George Mortimer Tibbets (1796–1878) built the Tibbits House. At the time the property was bought by the Tibbets it was the location of a wooden house built before the Revolution by a Loyalist named Pfister. The Tibbits estate was a stop on the Underground Railroad. The building was acquired by the Hoosac School in 1952 and is used as a dormitory, classrooms, and for administrative offices.

J. Kurtz and Sons Store Building United States historic place

J. Kurtz and Sons Store Building is a historic commercial building located in the Jamaica section of the New York City borough of Queens. It was built in 1931 and is a six-story, steel-frame building with two decorated sides in the Art Deco style. It is three bays by six bays and features a metal-framed windows with stepped pylon motif rising through all four floors. They are of cast aluminum with geometric designs. It was built to house a franchise of the J. Kurtz and Sons furniture store, founded by Jacob Kurtz in 1870.
