Fire Station No. 4, also known as the Maxwell Place Fire Station, is located at 301 Maxwell Place, Elmira, New York. It was designed by local architects Pierce & Bickford. It was built in 1897, and is significant as an example of firehouse design around the start of the 20th century. [2]

Henry C. Dudley (1813–1894), known also as Henry Dudley, was an English-born North American architect, known for his Gothic Revival churches. He was a founding member of the American Institute of Architects and designed a large number of churches, among them Saint Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in Syracuse, New York, built in 1884, and Trinity Church, completed in 1858.

The John W. Jones House currently stands at 1250 Davis Street, Elmira, New York, across from a historic entrance to Woodlawn Cemetery. It is the former home of John W. Jones and current home of the John W. Jones Museum. It stands on part of its original property, though it originally faced College Avenue. Historically, the house was the private residence of John W. Jones and his family, but changed ownership several times since, and was used as rental property that fell into disrepair. Condemned by the City of Elmira in 1997, Lucy Brown brought it to the public's attention and with a group of concerned citizens, saved it from demolition. It is now the home to the John W. Jones Museum.

The Elmira Civic Historic District is the area of downtown Elmira, New York where the governmental center developed in the town's early history. It includes the Chemung County Courthouse Complex, John Hazlett Office Building and the Arnot Art Museum/Icehouse, all on Lake Street. Among the contributing buildings on Church Street are the Richardson Romanesque style Armory Building, the Beaux Arts-style City Hall, designed by Pierce & Bickford, and the U. S. Post Office. Other buildings are on nearby Baldwin Street, Market Street and Carroll Street. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980; four decades later its boundaries were revised.

Park Church runs the length of an entire city block in Elmira, New York. The church was constructed from 1874 through 1876, replacing its much smaller, wooden predecessor. It was designed by Horatio Nelson White. The design of the limestone and brick church is highly eclectic. Besides its architecture, the church is significant for its congregation of abolitionists and humanitarians. From 1854 until his death in 1900, Thomas Kennicott Beecher was the pastor of Park Church. Beecher, together with his twelve siblings including author Harriet Beecher Stowe, was brought up by liberal reformist clergyman Lyman Beecher.

Constructed of yellow brick in 1912, and designed by Otis Dockstader of Elmira, the building is composed of a five- by two bay, one story main block, with a large four by four bay block to the rear. The building features Arts and Crafts style decorative elements. The entrance is sheltered by a monumental gabled portico supported by four Corinthian columns.

The brick structure rests on a raised stone foundation and features a large front corner tower. The architects were Pierce & Dockstader of Elmira.

The Loon Lake Mountain Fire Observation Station is a historic fire observation station located on the western end of the Loon Lake Mountains west of Loon Lake in Franklin County, New York in the Debar Mountain Wild Forest. The station and contributing resources include a 35-foot-tall (10.7 m), steel-frame lookout tower erected in 1917; it replaced a wooden fire tower that was constructed in 1912. The tower has been unused since 1971, and the stairs have been removed to keep people from climbing it.

Presbyterian Church of Atlanta is a historic Presbyterian church located at Atlanta in Steuben County, New York, United States. It was built in 1895 and is a Queen Anne style building constructed of red pressed brick over a limestone basement. The architect was Otis Dockstader of Elmira. The interior is designed on the Akron Plan. Also on the property is a former horse shed that was converted in the 1920s for use as a Sunday School and Boy Scout facility. Founded after a devastating fire destroyed most of the downtown area of the village, the church has always served a broad cross section of the community. Having nearly closed the church is now experiencing a period of renewal. Services are at 11:00 AM on Sundays.
