Garrison Cemetery, also known as the War of 1812 Cemetery, is a historic cemetery located at Cheektowaga in Erie County, New York. It is the final resting place for American and British soldiers who fought in the Niagara Frontier Campaign of the War of 1812. The cemetery is located on the site of the General Military Hospital, established August 1, 1814, at Williams Mill. [2]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. [1]

Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site is a historically important location in Jefferson County, New York, United States. The historic site is south of the Village of Sackets Harbor, bordering Lake Ontario in the Town of Hounsfield. Two battles were fought near this location during the War of 1812. Villa Maria Motherhouse Complex, or Felician Sisters Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent Chapel and Convent, is a historic Roman Catholic convent and school complex located at Cheektowaga in Erie County, New York. It is included in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo. It was constructed in 1927, and is a three-part Gothic Revival building that was built for the Felician Sisters of St. Francis to house a boarding and day high school, public and private chapels and the Motherhouse/Novitiate. The school, known as Villa Maria Academy, closed in 2006.
First Church of Evans Complex is a historic Presbyterian church complex located at Derby in Erie County, New York. The 5.5-acre (2.2 ha) property includes the church, cemeteries, farmhouse (manse), and historic Ingersoll barn with later additions that serves as a community clubhouse. The church is an eclectic Colonial Revival style structure designed by Buffalo architects Mann and Cook and constructed in 1915. The original cemetery includes graves that predate the congregation's founding in 1818.
First Presbyterian Church of Avon is a historic Presbyterian church located at East Avon in Livingston County, New York. It is a three- by six-bay Federal style brick building, approximately 46 feet by 60 feet. The center of the principal elevation features a three-story bell tower surmounted by a six sided, broached spire. Construction of the building started in 1812 and it was dedicated in 1827. In 1866 the existing church was renovated and the present tower added.

Madison Barracks was a military installation established in 1813 or 1815 at Sackets Harbor that was built for occupation by 600 U.S. troops, a few years after the War of 1812. It was named for James Madison who had just completed his presidency in 1817. Construction began under the name Fort Pike. The facility is a National Historic Landmark and a historic district located in Jefferson County, New York. The district includes 86 contributing buildings and two contributing structures. It includes the stone hospital, bakery, several warehouses known as "Stone Row," a stone water tower, and a series of brick buildings constructed in the 1890s as officers quarters, barracks, mess hall, and weapons storage and repair building.
The Old New York Evening Post Building is the former office and printing plant of the New York Evening Post newspaper located at 20 Vesey Street between Church Street and Broadway in the Financial District of Manhattan, New York City. It was built in 1906-07 and was designed by architect Robert D. Kohn for Oswald Garrison Villard, who owned the Post at the time, and is considered to be "one of the few outstanding Art nouveau buildings" ever constructed in the United States.
Edgewater Farm is a historic farm property located at Willsboro Point in Essex County, New York. It contains four contributing buildings, one contributing site, and one contributing structure. The main house, known as the Rowley house, is an early-19th-century residence, dated to about 1812, with two earlier service wings from about 1796 and 1820. It consists of a rectangular, two-story, five-bay frame main block, with a two-stage ell consisting of a 1+1⁄2-story kitchen wing and 1+1⁄2-story shop / carriage barn. The main block features an elaborate Greek Revival–style entrance and portico. Also on the property are former farm outbuildings including a horse barn, a cow and hay barn, and a creamery. The property also includes a family cemetery.
Teunis Houghtaling House, also known as Vredehuis, is a historic home located at Clarksville in Albany County, New York. It was built in two stages: the 1+1⁄2-story main block was built about 1770, expanded to a five-bay dwelling about 1790, at which time a 1-story addition was also completed. It is constructed of hand-hewn timber framing. Also on the property are two frame outbuildings and a small family cemetery with burials dating to the early 19th century.
Pinckney Corners Cemetery is a historic cemetery located near Copenhagen in Lewis County, New York. It was established in 1810. It contains approximately 240 marked burials dating from 1810 to 1901. It is the final resting place of many early settlers of the region. Those buried include veterans of the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.
South Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery is a historic home located at South Salem, Westchester County, New York. The cemetery was established in the 18th century, perhaps as early as 1710. It has a total of 373 identified graves, ranging in date from 1739 to 1928. Burials include veterans of the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War and War of 1812. It includes a number of notable 18th and 19th century grave markers.
The National Abolition Hall of Fame and Museum is located on the second floor of a historic Presbyterian church, located at 5255 Pleasant Valley Road, between Elizabeth and Park Streets, in the hamlet of Peterboro, New York. The church, built in 1820, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. Not used as a church since 1870, it has housed the Evans Academy, the Peterboro Union School, and the Peterboro Elementary School. The first floor is now (2022) the Town of Smithfield Town Hall, with the town clerk's office.
