Rajendra Singh is an Indian water conservationist and environmentalist from Alwar district, Rajasthan in India. Also known as "waterman of India", he won the Magsaysay Award in 2001 and Stockholm Water Prize in 2015. He runs an NGO called 'Tarun Bharat Sangh' (TBS), which was founded in 1975. The NGO based in village hori-Bhikampura in Thanagazi tehsil, near Sariska Tiger Reserve, has been instrumental in fighting the slow bureaucracy, mining lobby and has helped villagers take charge of water management in their semi-arid area as it lies close to Thar Desert, through the use of johad, rainwater storage tanks, check dams and other time-tested as well as path-breaking techniques. Starting from a single village in 1985, over the years TBS helped build over 8,600 johads and other water conservation structures to collect rainwater for the dry seasons, has brought water back to over 1,000 villages and revived five rivers in Rajasthan, Arvari, Ruparel, Sarsa, Bhagani and Jahajwali. He is one of the members of the National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA) which was set up in 2009, by the Government of India as an empowered planning, financing, monitoring and coordinating authority for the Ganges (Ganga), in exercise of the powers conferred under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. In the UK he is a founder member of an NGO called the Flow Partnership. which aims to counter the negative effects of soil erosion and flooding.

The Gurjar agitation in Rajasthan were a series of protests in Rajasthan state, India, during 2008, and in later years. Violence erupted in the state of Rajasthan on 23 May 2008 when police fired on protesters belonging to the Gurjar caste who were demanding a Special status under India's reservation system. In retaliation, the protesters lynched a policeman in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. In response, police shot at protesters as they tried to damage railway lines and government property. At least 15 were killed on the spot.

He was a Member of Parliament of the 16th Lok Sabha from the constituency of Dausa, Rajasthan. He is a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of 1976 batch and former Director General of Police (DGP). He served as DGP of Rajasthan from March 2009 to December 2013 which is recorded to be IUI the longest tenure of a DGP in Rajasthan. Banganga River, an 240 km long tributary of Gambhir river in India, originates from the hills of Aransar and Bairath in Jaipur region of Rajasthan state and confluences with Yamuna near Fatehabad in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh state. Its main tributaries are Gumti Nalla and Suri River on right bank, and Sanwan and Palasan Rivers on left bank. Banganga's tributary Sanwan after confluencing with Tildah river then confluences with Banganga river which in turn then confluences with the Gambhir river which in turn confluences with the Yamuna in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. Finally, Yamuna confluences with Ganges at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.
Bandikui Junction railway station is a major railway station in Dausa district, Rajasthan. Its code is BKI. It serves Bandikui city. The station consists of six platforms. The platforms are well sheltered. It has many facilities including water and sanitation.
The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is a 1,350 km long, 8-lane wide under-construction access-controlled expressway connecting India's national capital New Delhi with its financial capital Mumbai. The under-construction Vadodara–Mumbai Expressway has been subsumed in this project. Foundation stone of the project was laid by union minister Nitin Gadkari in presence of Sushma Swaraj & Arun Jaitley on 8 March 2019. The total project value including the land acquisition cost is around ₹1,00,000 crores. An additional 30 km long spur will also be constructed by the NHAI from Noida International Airport in Jewar to Ballabgarh on this expressway. Upon completion in March 2023, it will become India's longest and busiest expressway.
