Stafford is a town in Genesee County, New York, United States. The population was 2,459 at the 2010 census. The town was named after a town of the same name in England.
Portageville is a hamlet located in the town of Genesee Falls in Wyoming County, New York. Its name derives from the Native American canoeists who would withdraw their craft from the river to avoid going over three waterfalls in the Genesee River gorge. They had to portage several miles to the site of present-day Mount Morris, where they could embark for the rest of the journey downriver.

The Durant-Dort Carriage Company Office is a National Historic Landmark owned by General Motors. A late 19th-century office building located at 316 West Water Street in Flint, Michigan, it was built and occupied by GM's parent, Durant-Dort, followed by Dort Motor Car Company, until 1924.
The Charlotte–Genesee Lighthouse is an 1822 stone octagonal lighthouse in the Charlotte neighborhood in northern Rochester, New York, United States. The 40 ft tower is located on Lake Ontario at the mouth of the Genesee River. It originally had 10 whale oil Argand lamps, which were replaced with a Fresnel lens in 1853.
Rail and Titsworth Canal Warehouse, also known as DeCilio's, is a historic canal warehouse building located at Belfast in Allegany County, New York. It is the oldest surviving warehouse from along the route of the Genesee Valley Canal, later Genesee Valley Canal Railroad. It was built about 1853 in the Greek Revival style. Built originally as a warehouse, over the years the structure has been used as a hotel, brothel, barn, and storehouse.
Genesee Wesleyan Seminary and Genesee College Hall are two historic buildings located on the campus of Elim Bible Institute at Lima in Livingston County, New York. The Genesee Wesleyan Seminary building was constructed in 1842 and now serves as the college Administration Building. It is a 4 1⁄2-story neoclassical–style brick structure. It features a 2-story verandah composed of two tiers of sturdy columns. The Genesee College Hall was completed in 1851 and is a complete neoclassical temple form. It measures two and a half stories high and five bays wide, with an Ionic hexastyle portico extending the length of the south facade.
Genesee Park Historic District is a national historic district located at Geneva in Ontario County, New York. The district contains 16 contributing properties including 14 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and one contributing object. The focal point is Genesee Park, an informally landscaped village green. The district includes a remarkably intact collection of mid- to late-19th century civic, domestic, and religious properties. There are two notable churches: the massive St. Peter's Episcopal Church (1868), designed by Richard Upjohn, and the former North Presbyterian Church (1875), both examples of the Gothic Revival style.
Erie Canal: Second Genesee Aqueduct, also known as the Broad Street Aqueduct or Broad Street Bridge, is a historic stone aqueduct located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was constructed in 1836–1842 and originally carried the Erie Canal over the Genesee River. The overall length of the aqueduct including the wings and abutments is 800 feet (240 m). The aqueduct is 70 feet (21 m) wide and has massive parapets on either side. It is one of four major aqueducts in the mid-19th century Erie Canal system. In 1927, a roadbed was added to carry automobile traffic and named Broad Street. It also carried a part of the Rochester Subway.
The Rundel Memorial Building is a historic library building located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It is the original downtown site of the Rochester Public Library, and along with the Bausch & Lomb Library Building directly across the street, serves as the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County. It is a framed in reinforced concrete and faced in smooth Indiana limestone. It consists of three main floors, a mezzanine, two underground levels, a catwalk level above the river, and a penthouse area for equipment. It was constructed between 1934 and 1936, and represents an integration of Beaux-Arts planning and massing with Art Deco detailing and stylization. The building is sited along the east side of the Genesee River directly above the Johnson and Seymour millrace and Rochester Subway. The building was built in part with monies from the estate of Morton W. Rundel and with a grant from the Public Works Administration.
Brown's Race Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district contains 15 contributing buildings, 2 contributing structures, and 14 contributing sites. All of the principal buildings are used for commercial purposes and are sited along or near the curving south rim of the Genesee River gorge at the rim of the High Falls. The district comprises a collection of 19th-century industrial buildings built of brick and stone, and ranging in size from one- to six-stories. Also in the district is the mill race and the 19th century iron Pont De Rennes bridge, which is used today as a pedestrian bridge and viewing platform of the High Falls and surrounding gorge.
The Genesee Street Hill–Limestone Plaza Historic District is a historic district in Fayetteville, New York that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The western border of the district is Limestone Creek. The district includes multiple Greek Revival houses, as well as Italianate and Federal architecture styles, along East Genesee Street as it rises from Limestone Plaza to Chapel Street, near the top of East Genesee Street Hill.
The Skaneateles Historic District is a 17 acres (6.9 ha) historic district in the village of Skaneateles, New York that dates back to 1796, includes one building from the 20th century, but is otherwise composed of 19th-century residences and commercial buildings. It includes 59 contributing buildings and one contributing site – Thayer Park along Skaneateles Lake, – as well as five non-contributing structures. The district runs along both sides of East Genesee Street from Jordan Street to Onondaga Street, and includes the core of Skaneateles' historic downtown area, which was rebuilt in 1836 after being almost totally destroyed by fire in 1835. Also included are properties on Jordan Street up to the intersection of Fennell Street, and the stone mill property on Fennell Street.
