The National Register of Historic Places in the United States is a register including buildings, sites, structures, districts, and objects. The Register automatically includes all National Historic Landmarks as well as all historic areas administered by the U.S. National Park Service. Since its introduction in 1966, more than 90,000 separate listings have been added to the register.
There are more than 1,500 properties and districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the U.S. State of Maryland. Each of the state's 23 counties and its one county-equivalent has at least 20 listings on the National Register.

Windsor Mills Bridge, also known as Wiswell Road Bridge or Warner Hollow Road Bridge, is a covered bridge that carries Covered Bridge Lane, formerly Wiswell Road, across Phelps Creek in Windsor Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio, United States. The bridge, one of currently 17 drivable bridges in the county, is a single-span Town truss design. The bridge was built in 1867 using white pine. It sits atop cut stone abutments, one made of sandstone quarried nearby, and the other made of creek stone. The bridge was bypassed in the 1960s and closed to traffic, and Wiswell Road was rerouted west of the creek. In the 1980s, the bridge was completely closed due to safety reasons. It underwent extensive renovation from 2002 to 2004, and was then reopened to all traffic, except for trucks and buses. The bridge is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The bridge's WGCB number is 35-04-25, and it is located approximately 5.0 mi (8.0 km) west of Orwell.

The Eakin Mill Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge in Vinton County, Ohio, United States. Located southeast of the county seat of McArthur, this bridge carries Mound Hill Road near the community of Arbaugh.
Sarvis Fork Covered Bridge, also known as Sandyville Covered Bridge, is a historic covered bridge located near Sandyville, Jackson County, West Virginia. It was built in 1889-1890 for $64.00 by R.B. Cunningham and G.W. Staats in 1890, originally spanning John Carnahan's Fork, a branch of Mill Creek. When US Route 33 was built using an iron bridge, the covered bridge was first abandoned, then moved and rebuilt over the Left Fork of the Sandy Creek in 1924 for $1,050.00.
The Mill Creek Park Suspension Bridge is a bridge in Youngstown, Ohio, United States. The 1895 bridge carries Valley Drive across Mill Creek to connect the east and west sides of Mill Creek Park. Following the wishes of Volney Rogers to create fanciful park entrances, Charles Fowler of the Youngstown Bridge Co. designed the structure. The Suspension Bridge is the oldest of six bridges in Mill Creek Park. It measures 86 feet long and 32 feet wide and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It has been called the Silver Bridge, the Cinderella Bridge, the Castle Bridge, and the Walt Disney Bridge. In the summer and fall of 2007, the Suspension Bridge went through a major rehabilitation project to repair the historic structure, restore its visual prominence and improve its structural integrity. The project was coordinated through consultation with the Mahoning Valley Historical Society, Youngstown State University, the Ohio Historic Preservation Office and additional agencies. A Federal Highway Administration Enhancement Grant, secured through the Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, covered 80% of the total project cost. The bridge has been restored to its original splendor, reflecting its history, legacy, aesthetic appeal, cultural prominence and regional character.
T. R. Pugh Memorial Park is a re-creation of an 1880s era water-powered grist mill located in North Little Rock, Arkansas. It was used in the opening scenes of the movie classic Gone With The Wind. In 2010, the site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Bowman Mill Covered Bridge, in Perry County, Ohio, is a multiple kingpost truss covered bridge which was built in 1880. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
The Helmick Covered Bridge, near Blissfield, Ohio, was built in 1863. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
The Helmick Mill Covered Bridge, in Deerfield Township, Morgan County, Ohio, near Malta, Ohio, was built in 1867 by Samuel Price who was paid $872. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. At this site in 1880, Joseph "Joe" Helmick owned a flouring mill and a saw mill on the falls where the flint rock outcrops. The flouring mill was on the south side and the saw mill on the north side, according to Aler's Reminiscences of Deerfield Township, p. 4, col. 1
The Kidwell Covered Bridge, in Dover Township, Athens County, Ohio between the nearby hamlets of Truetown and Redtown, was built in 1880. It spans Sunday Creek. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
The Knowlton Covered Bridge, near Rinard Mills, Ohio, was built around 1860. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It was decommissioned shortly after. Also known as the Long Covered Bridge, it is a Burr arch truss bridge.
The Rock Mill Covered Bridge, on State Route 41 at Rock Mill, Ohio in Bloom Township, Fairfield County, Ohio, is a Queen Post truss bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
