South Amboy is a commuter railroad train station in the city of South Amboy, Middlesex County, New Jersey. Servicing trains of New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line, electric trains go between New York Penn Station and Long Branch. There are also diesel trains that go through to Bay Head. The next station to the north, across the Raritan River, is Perth Amboy and the next station to the southeast is Aberdeen–Matawan. The station consists of two tracks and a single high-level island platform that is handicap accessible.
South Amboy station was upgraded to be fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 as part of a station renovation project from November 2006 to January 5, 2010. During the first phase of the project, a new $4.8 million pedestrian overpass was constructed, allowing safe transfers across the two tracks at the station. The overpass opened on March 11, 2005. [5] [6] The second phase of the project replaced the two original low-level side platforms with a new ADA-accessible high-level island platform, [7] and reconstructed the station building. [6] The station received a new ticket office, canopies, signage, and lighting. [7] The second phase cost $29 million, [8] and was completed on January 5, 2010. [9]
This station has two tracks and a high-level island platform, and is fully ADA-accessible. The station had a third track, but it was removed during the station renovation project.
Secaucus Junction is an intermodal transit hub served by New Jersey Transit and Metro-North Railroad in Secaucus, New Jersey. It is one of the busiest railway stations in North America.
The Northeast Corridor Line is a commuter rail service operated by NJ Transit between the Trenton Transit Center and New York Penn Station on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor in the United States. The service is the successor to Pennsylvania Railroad commuter trains between Trenton and New York, and is NJ Transit's busiest commuter rail service. After arrival at New York Penn Station, some trains load passengers and return to New Jersey, while others continue east to Sunnyside Yard for storage. Most servicing is done at the Morrisville Yard, at the west end of the line.

The Morristown Line is an NJ Transit commuter rail line connecting Morris and Essex counties to New York City, via either New York Penn Station or Hoboken Terminal. Out of 60 inbound and 58 outbound daily weekday trains, 28 inbound and 26 outbound Midtown Direct trains use the Kearny Connection to Penn Station; the rest go to Hoboken. Passengers can transfer at Newark Broad Street or Summit to reach the other destination. On rail system maps the line is colored dark green, and its symbol is a drum, a reference to Morristown's history during the American Revolution.
The North Jersey Coast Line is a commuter rail line running from Rahway to Bay Head, New Jersey, traversing through the Jersey Shore region. Operated by New Jersey Transit, the line is electrified as far south as Long Branch. On rail system maps it is colored light blue, and its symbol is a sailboat. The line runs along the former New York & Long Branch Railroad, which was co-owned by the Central Railroad of New Jersey and the Pennsylvania Railroad.

Avenel station serves as the first and last stop of standalone North Jersey Coast Line service, with the line merging into the Northeast Corridor Line at Rahway. The next station to the south is Woodbridge while the next station north is Rahway. Avenel station consists of two high-level side platforms that cross over Avenel Street.
New Bridge Landing, signed as New Bridge Landing at River Edge, is an active commuter railroad station in the borough of River Edge, Bergen County, New Jersey. Located at the junction of Kinderkamack Road and Grand Avenue and next to Route 4, the station is serviced by Pascack Valley Line trains running between Hoboken Terminal in Hoboken and Spring Valley station in the eponymous village in Rockland County, New York. The next station to the north is the eponymous River Edge and the next station to the south is Anderson Street in Hackensack. The station contains a single low-level side platform on the southbound side of the track, resulting in the station not being accessible for handicapped persons per the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
Summit is a train station in Summit, New Jersey, served by New Jersey Transit's Morris & Essex Lines. The station sits between Union Place on the north and Broad Street on the south, with station access via either side, and between Summit Avenue on the east and Maple Avenue on the west. Constructed in 1904–1905 by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad in a mile-long open cut, it is one of the few NJ Transit stations with platforms below street level.
Jersey Avenue is a New Jersey Transit station on the Northeast Corridor Line in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It is near Jersey Avenue, in an industrial area next to a New Jersey Transit rail yard. Unlike all other stations on the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor Line, Jersey Avenue has low-level platforms, and, since there is no wheelchair ramp, it is the only station on the line that is not handicapped-accessible. Jersey Avenue opened in October 1963 as part of an experimental park and ride program.

Located on NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line, it is one of three active railroad stations in the eponymous township, including Avenel to the north on the same line and Metropark station on the Northeast Corridor Line. Woodbridge station is located on Pearl Street at the intersection with Brook Street, where stairs to the single island platform that serves trains are located.
East Orange is an active commuter railroad train station in the city of East Orange, Essex County, New Jersey. Located next to East Orange City Hall, the station serves trains on the two lines that make up New Jersey Transit's Morris and Essex Lines: the Morristown Line and Gladstone Branch.
