These are the sports broadcasting contracts in the Philippines . There are four primary local producers of sport programs in the country: Solar Sports, TAP Sports, GMA Network, and TV5/Cignal TV (One Sports).[ citation needed ]
Solar formerly held the rights to the National Basketball Association until September 30, 2019, when its contract with the league expired, shutting down cable channels Basketball TV and NBA Premium TV; [2] [3] the expiration of Solar's NBA contract ended ABS-CBN's free-to-air broadcast rights to air NBA games, which is also from them and also ended Fox Sports' coverage of the NBA.
NBA announced on July 27, 2020, that it has signed a multi-year partnership with Cignal TV and Smart Communications to bring NBA games and programming to fans in the Philippines through free-to-air, satellite television and over-the-top streaming. Starting July 31, to coincide with the 2019–20 NBA season restart, free-to-air channels TV5 and ONE Sports will broadcast live NBA games for the first time, including four games every week. Cignal TV, on the other hand, launched an NBA-dedicated channel via NBA TV Philippines, which broadcasts live NBA games 7 days a week (including Finals). [4]

One Sports, currently rebranding to Sports5, is the sports division of TV5 Network, Inc. and jointly-operated with sister company Cignal TV. Basketball TV or BTV was a Philippine pay television sports channel with offices on Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong. It was owned by the Solar Entertainment Corporation. It was launched on October 1, 2006, rebranding the Sports Plus channel. On September 25, 2019, it announced on its official Facebook page as well as on its Instagram and Twitter accounts that the channel and NBA Premium TV will cease their operations on October 1, 2019. The final program to air on this channel was a replay of NBA Playoff Playback on September 30, 2019, before signing off at 12:00 m.n. on October 1, 2019.

NBA Premium TV was a Philippine pay television sports-oriented network owned by Solar Entertainment Corporation. The channel is a joint venture between Solar and NBA TV. It was a live simulcast broadcast of NBA TV, the league's dedicated channel in the United States.
The PBA on One Sports is the branding for presentation of the Philippine Basketball Association basketball games which started since the 2011-12 season. It operates Mondays to Saturdays from 6:00 AM to 12:00 MN and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM. as well as on truncated hours during the Paschal Triduum. However, starting Holy Week 2024, it continues to sign off from Maundy Thursday from 12:00 mn to Easter Sunday at 6:00 am.
