Trans Ganga City

Trans Ganga City is an under construction satellite township in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in Unnao district which comes under Kanpur metropolitan area. The area comprises stretch from the limits of Unnao Municipality to Ganga river near Kanpur on NH 25 and Unnao-Shuklaganj Highway. [1] [2] The Government of Uttar Pradesh has also proposed Skill Development University near the proposed Hi-tech city. [3] The proposed Kanpur Outer Ring Road will pass from Trans Ganga city which will further connect it to the under construction Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway at Azad Marg Chauraha situated at a distance of 10 kilometres from Trans Ganga.The Kanpur Outer Ring Road shall also be connected with the under construction new terminal of Kanpur Airport by a connector road which is at the distance of 20 kilometres from Trans Ganga and shall be just 30 minutes drive from the Hi-tech city.

Jajmau also known as Jajesmow during British Era, is a suburb of Kanpur, India. It is situated on the banks of the Ganges River. Jajmau is an industrial suburb. It has the population of about 652,831 according to census 2011. It is believed to be the oldest inhabited place in the region. The main industry is the leather industry. It is home to some of the biggest leather tanneries in Northern India. The excavations conducted here by the Archaeological Survey of India suggest that it dates back to c. 1300 – 1200 BCE. Earthen pottery, tools and various historical artifacts discovered by the Archaeological Survey of India are presently kept in the Kanpur Sangrahalaya. The area comes under the jurisdiction of Kanpur metropolitan area.

Ganga Expressway is an under-construction, 1,047 km (651 mi) long, of which 594 km (369 mi) has been approved, 6-lane wide greenfield expressway in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is being constructed in two phases. Phase-1 will connect Bijauli village on NH-334 in Meerut district with Judapur Dandu village on NH-19 in Prayagraj district, while Phase-2 will see the extension of both sides of the expressway: from Prayagraj to Ballia and from Meerut to Haridwar.

Kanpur Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Uttar Pradesh state in northern India. The constituency covers almost one-fourth of the area of Kanpur city and is hundred percent urban. The rest of the city comes under Akbarpur Lok Sabha constituency and the outgrowths across Ganga river are the part of Unnao Lok Sabha constituency. Some suburbs of the city like Chobepur and parts of Mandhana lie in Misrikh Lok Sabha constituency.

Expressways are the highest class of roads in India. In July 2023, the total length of expressways in India was 5,930 km (3,680 mi), with 11,127.69 km (6,914.43 mi) under construction. These are controlled-access highways where entrance and exits are controlled by the use of cloverleaf, three-way, trumpet or grade separated interchanges that are incorporated into the design of the expressway and designed for maximum speed of 120 km/h, whereas National highways are flyover access or tolled, where entrance and exit is through the side of the flyover, at each intersection of highway with road, flyovers are provided to bypass the city/town/village traffic and these highways are designed for speed of 100 km/h. Some roads are not access-controlled expressways but are still named expressways, such as the Bagodara–Tarapur Expressway, Biju Expressway, these are actually state highways that are not declared by the central government as an Expressway, hence not an Expressway or National Highway.

The Agra–Lucknow Expressway is a 302 km long, 6-lane wide access-controlled expressway constructed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to reduce traffic in already congested roads and to reduce pollution and carbon footprint. The expressway reduced the distance between the cities of Agra and Lucknow in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and is presently one of the India's longest operational expressways.

Unnao Junction Railway Station, also known as Unnao Railway Station, is a major railway station located in Unnao district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It serves Unnao and the surrounding areas. The station falls under the jurisdiction of the Northern Railway zone of the Indian Railways and serves as a crucial transportation hub for the region. Unnao Junction railway station is on the Lucknow–Kanpur Suburban Railway and Varanasi–Kanpur branch line.

On 14 January 2015, more than one hundred unidentified dead bodies were found floating in the River Ganges in Unnao district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The dead bodies are believed to be of mostly unmarried girls and children. They were later buried at the riverbank.

Purvanchal Expressway is a 340.8 km long, 6-lane wide access-controlled expressway in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The expressway connects Chand Saray village near Gosainganj in Lucknow district with Haydaria village on NH-31 in Ghazipur district. It is developed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). The Purvanchal Expressway has a 3.2 km long airstrip at Akhalkiri Karwat village near Kurebhar in Sultanpur district for emergency landing of aircraft. The construction work was started by the UPEIDA on 10 October 2018 and was inaugurated and opened to the public on 16 November 2021.

National Highway 230, also known as Kisan Path or Lucknow Outer Ring Road is National Highway in Uttar Pradesh, India which also includes sections of Lucknow Inner Ring Road. The Lucknow outer ring road is an 8 lane that expand to 10 lanes at key junctions and 104 km long quadruple carriageway road project with a speed limit of 100kmph for Light Vehicles and 80kmph for Heavy vehicles. The 6 lane 11 km long stretch between Kursi Road to Sultanpur road has been constructed by the NHAI. This Ring Road has multiple 6 lane flyovers for smooth and swift commuting of the travellers. This Outer Ring Road will play a major role in the establishment of the Lucknow State Capital Region or the Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region as many IT cities, Housing Societies, Integrated Mega-Townships, Wellness City, Educational Hubs, and Commercial Hubs etc. across Multiple 1000's of acres of land are proposed to be established around this Ring Road. It is set to offload nearly 1.60 lakh vehicles off the main roads of the city of Lucknow as of now.

The Awadh Expressway also known as Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway connects two major cities Kanpur and Lucknow of the Awadh Region of Uttar Pradesh. It is an under-construction, 63-kilometre-long (39 mi), six-lane wide access-controlled expressway in India's Uttar Pradesh. It has been given the status of National Expressway 6 by the Government of India.
