The Tianjin Metro or Tianjin Rail Transit is the rapid transit system in the city of Tianjin, which was the second city in mainland China after Beijing to operate a subway system. First opened in 1984, the system currently has 11 operating lines and 233 stations spanning 326.5 km (202.9 mi).

Wuhan Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Wuhan, Hubei, China. With 1.35 billion annual passengers in 2023, Wuhan Metro is the sixth-busiest rapid transit system in mainland China. There are a number of lines or sections under construction.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Line 5 (Shanghai Metro)</span> Metro line in Shanghai, China

Line 5 is a north–south rapid transit line of the Shanghai Metro network, running from Xinzhuang station in Minhang District in the north to Fengxian Xincheng in Fengxian District was originally planned as the Minhang and Fengxian sections of line 1 extending south to Minhang. Despite its numeric designation, it was the fourth Shanghai Metro line to enter passenger service, opening on 25 November 2003. The line is colored violet on system maps.

The Chengdu Metro is the rapid transit system of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, China. With the opening of Line 1 on 27 September 2010, the system has fifteen subway lines and one light rail line. It has subsequently undergone rapid expansion. Since the opening of Lines 6, 8, 9, and 17 on 18 December 2020, the Chengdu Metro is the 3rd longest metro system in the world.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Line 11 (Shanghai Metro)</span> Line of Shanghai Metro

Line 11 is a northwest–southeast line of the Shanghai Metro network. Since October 2013, Line 11 serves Kunshan city, making it is the second intercity metro in China after the Guangfo Metro and the first that crosses a provincial boundary. With a single-line mileage of 82.386 kilometres (51.192 mi), it is the third-longest single-line subway line in China, after Line 6 in Chongqing, which is 85.6 km (53.2 mi) long and Line 7 in Wuhan with a length of 83.6 km (51.9 mi). The line is colored brown on system maps.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Line 7 (Beijing Subway)</span> Railway line in Beijing, China

Line 7 of the Beijing Subway is a rapid transit line in Beijing. It runs parallel and to the south of Line 1 and Batong line, from the Beijing West railway station in Fengtai District to Universal Resort in Tongzhou District. Like Line 6, Line 7 provides additional relief to the overcapacity Line 1 adding another east–west trunk line to the Beijing Subway network. The line uses 8-car Type B trains. Line 7's color is light orange.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Line 15 (Shanghai Metro)</span> Metro line in Shanghai

Line 15 of the Shanghai Metro is a north-south metro line in the city of Shanghai that opened on 23 January 2021. The line begins at Gucun Park in Baoshan District at its northern end, and terminates at Zizhu Hi-tech Park in Minhang District at its southern end, via Shanghai West Railway Station and Shanghai South Railway Station. It will be 42.3 kilometres (26.3 mi) in length and have 30 stations. The line is one of Shanghai Metro's new batch of high capacity fully automated and driverless lines along with Lines 14 and 18. The line is colored ivory on system maps.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Harbin Metro</span> Rapid transit system in Harbin, China

The Harbin Metro is the rapid transit system of Harbin, the provincial capital of Heilongjiang Province in northeastern China. The system began operation on 26 September 2013 with the opening of Line 1. The system has a total of three lines.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ningbo Rail Transit</span> Rapid transit system in China

Ningbo Rail Transit, also known as the Ningbo Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Ningbo, Zhejiang and its suburbs. Five metro lines are in operation and one more is being built inside the urban area of Ningbo, serving Haishu, Jiangbei, Zhenhai, Beilun and Yinzhou. The first phase of Line 1 started construction in June 2009 and began to service the public on May 30, 2014. Line 2 began service on September 26, 2015.

Line 16 of the Beijing Subway is a rapid transit line in Beijing. It is 48.9 km (30.4 mi) in length with 30 stations. The line is fully underground.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Foshan Metro</span> Metro system of the city of Foshan in Guangdong Province, China

The Foshan Metro is the rapid transit system of the city of Foshan in Guangdong, China. Guangfo line is operated by Guangzhou Metro Corporation, and all other lines are operated by the state-owned Foshan Metro Group. It is the tenth metro system to be built in mainland China. Construction began in 2002 and the first line opened on 3 November 2010. The metro system has one new line and one extension under construction.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Line 18 (Chengdu Metro)</span> Airport rail link of the Chengdu Metro

Line 18 of the Chengdu Metro is an express rapid transit line that connects the urban area of Chengdu with Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. Line 18's color is teal. The Phase 1 & 2 of Line 18 is in total 69.39 km in length. It is also the biggest PPP project in China. The section from South Railway Station to Tianfu International Airport North Station started operation on 18 December 2020.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Line 18 (Guangzhou Metro)</span> Railway line in Guangzhou, China

Line 18 of the Guangzhou Metro is a rapid transit express line in Guangzhou with trains operating up to 160 km/h (99 mph). It runs in a south-north direction, connecting Wanqingsha in Nansha District, Panyu Square in Panyu District, Modiesha in Haizhu District, Zhujiang New Town and Guangzhou East Railway Station in Tianhe District. The line commenced service on 28 September 2021.
