Ajoy Mehta (born 21 September 1959) is a 1984 batch retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and former Chief Secretary of Maharastra and Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai. [1] [2] He succeeded Sitaram Kunte as the Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai. [3] [4] [5] [6] He served as the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra from 10 May 2019 till 11 February 2021. [7] Thereafter,he served as chairman of the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority from 12 February 2021 till 20 September 2024. [8]
After taking over as Municipal Commissioner Ajoy Mehta has started work on affordable housing in the draft development plan. [9] [10] He has also tackled the sanitation issue in Mumbai. [11]
Ajoy Mehta is a 1984 Cadre from the Maharashtra Batch of the IAS. He joined IAS after completing his engineering from IIT BHU.

Bhalchandra Gopal Deshmukh,also known as B.G. Deshmukh,IAS (1929-2011) was an Indian civil servant from the 1951 batch of the Indian Administrative Service. During his career he served with distinction in various capacities in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Praveensingh Pratapsingh Pardeshi is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer with over 29 years of experience in the services,and former Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai. Param Bir Singh is a former Indian police officer of the 1988 Indian Police Service (IPS) batch. He served as the Police Commissioner of Mumbai and the Director General (DG) of the Maharashtra Home Guard. Following the filing of extortion cases against him,he was untraceable,and was declared as absconding by a Mumbai Magistrate Court. Singh was suspended from his present position as The DG of the Home Guard because of his absence by the government of Maharashtra.
