Belmont Hotel is a historic hotel building located at Belmont in Allegany County, New York. The three-story brick building was constructed in 1890 to plans by Fredonia architects Curtis & Archer. The first floor features cast iron storefronts and arcaded loggia. Located adjacent to the Allegany County Courthouse, the hotel played an important role in the county's social, business, and political affairs. [2]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 3, 2001. [1]

US Post Office-Wellsville is a historic post office building located at Wellsville in Allegany County, New York. It was designed and built in 1931–1933. It is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by consulting architects Murphy & Olmsted to the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department. It is a two-story, brick clad structure on a limestone clad foundation with two one-story wings. The structure is in the Classical Revival style. The interior includes two bas relief panels; one depicting the first League of Peace of the Iroquois tribes and the second depicting Mary Jemison, "White Woman of the Genesee." It is located across from Wellsville Erie Depot.

Belmont Grange #1243, also known as Andrew McNett Residence, is a historic grange building located at Belmont in Allegany County, New York. It was built about 1860 in the Italianate style by Andrew McNett, an attorney, Civil War veteran, and subsequently the village's first mayor. The McNett family undertook modifications about 1890 to the Queen Anne style. In 1923, the property was transferred to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The Grange purchased the property in 1937.

Bolivar Free Library is a historic Carnegie library building located at Bolivar in Allegany County, New York. It is one of 3,000 such libraries constructed between 1885 and 1919. Friendship Free Library, also known as Pitt Memorial Library, is a historic library building located at Friendship in Allegany County, New York. Constructed of yellow brick in 1912, and designed by Otis Dockstader of Elmira, the building is composed of a five- by two bay, one story main block, with a large four by four bay block to the rear. The building features Arts and Crafts style decorative elements. The entrance is sheltered by a monumental gabled portico supported by four Corinthian columns.

Fireman's Hall is a historic fire hall located at Alfred in Allegany County, New York. It was built in 1890-1891 by volunteer firemen as the first home of the A.E. Crandall Hook & Ladder Co. It is a massive three story brick and sandstone structure that features an imposing bell / clock tower. The clock, designed by Seth Thomas, was donated by the Samuel Stillman family after the Village ran out of funds for the hall. The weather vane atop depicts a firefighter on a ladder. The building has housed village offices since the 1970s, as well as village court, police station and meeting hall today.

Alumni Hall, also known as Chapel Hall, is a historic multipurpose building located on the campus of Alfred University at Alfred in Allegany County, New York. It is a large frame structure built in 1851–1852 with what has been described as Alfred's most important Greek Revival features. The three-story, 52-foot-wide (16 m) by 102-foot-long (31 m) rectangular structure has a red terra cotta roof. Designed and built by Maxson Stillman, it features a one of a kind 12 foot pine weathervane in the shape of a quill pen. It was the fourth structure built for the Alfred Academy and housed a chapel, auditorium and lecture, recitation, library and lyceum rooms for college and community use. It is now used primarily to house the Admissions Department.

The 90 acres (36 ha) district encompasses 97 buildings, including the octagonal village green, the county fairgrounds, and the Old Allegany County Courthouse. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Canaseraga Four Corners Historic District is a national historic district located at Canaseraga in Allegany County, New York. The district consists of 1.7 acres (0.69 ha) and includes 16 contributing buildings. It encompasses that part of the remaining commercial core that retains a high degree of architectural integrity. It is an intact example of a cohesive collection of a building type and style that characterized rural villages at the end of the 19th century.
