Between 1873 and 1945, Saranac Lake, New York became a world-renowned center for the treatment of tuberculosis, using a treatment that involved exposing patients to as much fresh air as possible under conditions of complete bed-rest. In the process, a specific building type, the "Cure Cottage", developed, built by residents seeking to capitalize on the town's fame, by physicians, and often by the patients themselves. Many of these structures are extant, and their historic value has been recognized by listing on The National Register of Historic Places.

The property includes a mill and carriage house built in 1828 and is a contributing property to Schooley's Mountain Historic District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Land of Clover, also known as the Lathrop Brown Estate, is a national historic district located at Nissequogue in Suffolk County, New York. The district encompasses an estate with six contributing buildings and one contributing structure. The estate house is a large two-story brick Georgian Revival structure built between 1912 and 1918. It is loosely patterned after Westover Plantation. Also on the property are a contributing horseshoe stable, superintendent's cottage, ice house and garage, U-shaped barn, small barn and a water tower. It is now a boarding school known as The Knox School. The Estate house is currently known as Houghton Hall. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Old Pine Church, also historically known as Mill Church, Nicholas Church, and Pine Church, is a mid-19th century church located near to Purgitsville, West Virginia, United States. It is among the earliest extant log churches in Hampshire County, along with Capon Chapel and Mount Bethel Church.
Arcola Mills is a historic house in the unincorporated community of Arcola, Minnesota, United States. Built in 1847, it is considered the third-oldest and largest all-wood-frame house still standing in Minnesota. It was the home of brothers Martin and John Mower, who established one of the first sawmills on the St. Croix River and the community around it. The house and the remnants of the nearby mill were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as the John and Martin Mower House and Arcola Mill Site for having local significance in the themes of architecture, exploration/settlement, and industry. The property was nominated as an "excellent example" of Greek Revival architecture and for its association with the region's early settlement and lumber industry. The property now operates as a non-profit event and education center.
Miller–Horton–Barben Farm is a historic home and farm and national historic district located at Mendon in Monroe County, New York. The farm was established about 1808, and is one of the oldest in town. It includes a Greek Revival style homestead built between about 1822 and 1825, a Greek Revival barn, a gambrel roofed barn, an English barn, and a brick smokehouse. The house is seven bays wide and has a three-story recessed entrance and setback second story. It is of post and beam construction and sheathed in clapboard. Also on the property is the Miller-Barben Cemetery, with burials dating between 1811 and 1858.
Rice–Dodge–Burgess Farm, also known as the Stone House at Chepachet Pond, is a historic home and farm complex located at Cedarville in Herkimer County, New York. The farm was established in the 1820s, and includes a gable-roofed stone house (1830); timber-framed barn ; stone smokehouse ; small family cemetery ; stone dam, mill pond, and mill ruins ; and farm fields. The stone house is a 1 ½ story, rectangular-plan limestone dwelling with a wood-framed screen porch.
Stephen Harding House is a historic home located at Sea Cliff in Nassau County, New York. It was built in 1878, and is a 1 1/2-story, rectangular balloon frame vernacular Queen Anne style cottage. It has three small one-story additions. It features a replacement front verandah with turned spindle supports and decorative frieze and railings and fishscale shingles on the gable ends. The cottage was built during the period when Sea Cliff functioned as a Methodist camp.
Shady Brook Farm is a historic home located at Marlboro, Ulster County, New York. The house was originally built about 1850 in the Greek Revival style, and substantially enlarged and remodeled about 1917. It consists of two two-story, gable-roofed blocks. The front facade features a picturesque front porch with Gothic Revival style design elements. Also on the property are the contributing 2 1/2-story "South Cottage" and a carriage barn. After 1917, the main house was used as a summer boarding house until 1954.

Notable contributing resources include the John & Catrina Alliger House, Reformed Dutch Church of the Clove Chapel, Ira Brodhead House, John Forbes Hotel, Alligerville Post Office, Thomas S. Located in the district are the separately listed District School No. 14, Elm Street Stone Arch Bridge, Mill Street Stone Arch Bridge, Morton Memorial Library, and Ulster House Hotel.
